No, they aren't. Huskies are Canis familiaris, Red Wolves are Canis Rufus, and Timber Wolves are Canis Lupis. They are of the same Genus, but of an entirely separate species. Nice try though.

It would be one thing if this cat was a 150 pound jaguar or 120 pound cheetah roaming the neighborhood. Well that's obvious. But a 25 pound cat isn't going to attack small children or small dogs. Period. Why? because it too IS SMALL. 25 pounds is nothing. Cats don't go around attacking stuff for fun; they do it to eat. And if it's too big they're not going to fuck with it.
This 25 pound cat would be hunting and eating small birds and rodents. Not children and people's house pets
I know this cat was only half Serval, but this is from Wikipedia.
Quote:
The serval has been observed taking larger animals, such as deer, gazelle, and springbok.
Purebred Serval aren't much bigger than this half Serval was, weighing in between 15 and 40lbs. So, it stands to reason that a 25lb 1/2 Serval could kill a child or small dog.

That's outdated info. Canis familiaris is no longer recognized as its own species, it's just a subspecies of Canis lupus.

What-the-fuck-ever. I don't need a scientist to tell me a wolf ain't the same as a dog. Dogs have evolved to live with people. Wolves haven't. Huskies are fucking dogs.
And another thing, cats can fuck you up. Just putting that out there.

Unlike say a lion and a tiger or a horse and a donkey, a dog and a wolf can breed and produce offspring that are not just viable but able to produce their own offspring. They're the same species.
Dogs are wolves that have been bred to behave themselves around humans. If you cross a domestic dog with a wolf from the wild, you can't really expect the same predictable tame behavior because you're basically throwing all that selective breeding out the window. Same goes for crossing domestic cats and wild ones.

I stand corrected, it's been a while since I took a biology class. Thanks for educating me on that. There is still a big difference though, I have two Huskies (one purebred Siberian Husky, AKC registered, and the other half Collie). They are very, very gentle and friendly dogs. My baby regularly crawls around in the floor with the purebred, pulls his ears, etc, and there is no problem. He watches out for my son, and treats him like a member of the pack, which is what we all are to him. His pack (family). The other dog is an outside dog most of the time, but he is also fine around the baby. Both of the Huskies are better with him my Jack Russell is. Don't judge them by their looks. They are great dogs.

My point exactly. This cat was half wild. They are predators.

A cat can bite you if it's protecting its offspring, but it's not just going to start latching on to people and ripping off their testicles for being in the wrong place.
Why do these idiots own guns and fire them off in the city anyway?

Yeah I figure you're basically starting from square one in trying to domesticate such an animal. Not impossible but it would take many generations to breed out the predatory instincts again.

Because their neighborhoods are dangerous as shit.

I wonder how the "African" American community responded when spotting this creature. It's not quite an elusive woodland being or something, it's present in most of that entire fucking continent. The South Africans hunted this to extinction so anyone commonplace should know a little bit about the animal. If people on social programs have iphone4's and shit take a photo and fucking google.
As far as being dangerous, 90% of the serval's prey weighs less than 200 g (7 oz).
