leccinum ponderosum? [Re: xfsketch]
    #18912025 - 09/30/13 04:42 PM (10 years, 8 months ago)

Anyone here have experience with leccinum ponderosum?
I'm not sure thats what this is, I found them yesterday and didn't see a ponderosa all day.
About 4500' in the northern Oregon cascades.
I found just about every other popular edible yesterday also.
It'd probably be easier for me to list all the good edibles that I didn't catch than to remember all the ones I did.

You guys should be making ID requests if you need to find out what mushrooms you've found, this isn't the place for it, it will cluster-fuck-up this thread if everyone from Oregon, Washington and California post pictures of every mushroom they find in this one thread. /rant

Just because you don't like what Maynard said does not make him wrong pseudoanonyrnous.

I made this thread so Ill ask you to make your own ID request in a new thread please.

And please don't change the title in the subject line in any response to this.

Thanks.

Which is all topped with Lactarius deliciosus and a couple of chants

I mix butter and a flavorless high temp oil so as to not burn the butter
too much.

:homerdrool:

Looks tasty! Note to self on the flavorless high temp oil

Leccinum scabrum

This was a first for me. I hope you can guess what it was growing under.

I'm sure everybody has found them but I've been wanting to find one for awhile.  Finally!

For some reason I never take Chant pics. I find them to be a hard species to get a nice shot of. Its always so dark in the forest and they dont show up good. Ive been having a banner year for them though.
