Maybe Gymnopilus punctifolius??

My camera phone does this mushroom no justice. Spore print to come.
Maynard I'm headed up tomorrow again. Things are going well in the cascades.
I must have bad karma or something! Nice looking mushrooms I have a birthday party I have to attend tomorrow, otherwise I would absolutely go. What elevation where those growing at?
That bottom one is very weird looking. Could you take a cross section and take a picture in bright light? Does anyone have the Gymnopilus phylogeny tree handy?
I was at about 1800 feet in the vining maples/Doug fir. Rarely did I find them without vining maples around. The maples must collect moisture or something.
Oh ya found about 10 lbs today. Pins are literally everywhere around the Dougs/maples.

What in the boletus! This is in my front yard. Which is about 10x 10'
There are some true cedars next door in the Fred Meyer parking lot.
Guess that is who they are hooked up with.
Super weird!

Ill pick it in a day or two after it is bigger.

crazy days
So the bolete I found in my yard is B. zelleri or X. zelleri.

There are some true cedars just on the other side of that brick wall.
The amount of species I have found in this little patch of grass is just incredible.
Two corts, a laccaria, aleuria, an unidentified one I found last fall maybe paxillus.
This is a shitty part of town too. Right next to a Fred Meyer and the 84 highway.
Cool stuff.

And the kitty in the pic... My animals always seem to make it into my shots around here, tho' I don't know it 'till later. ;-)

Nice little batch of Cantharellus cibarius var. roseocanus from today.

Also found a nice batch of reishi today.

I made it out to the coast range this weekend. Tons of stuff popping up!
Amanita pachycolea

Interesting Chanterelle lookalike with a long, rooting stipe.

Boletus mirabilis

And of courseā¦

I also found a bunch of Russula xerampelina, but unfortunately didn't get any photos of them.

Took a short hike today and found my first Chanterelles! I was prepared for the possibility of finding none. I just found about 6 of them. There was only one cluster (of 3). I'm going back to the same place in a day or so and getting to a better habitat at a little higher elevation. I'm psyched! Found a couple other cool-looking mushrooms. I'll try and post a couple pics late tonight.
