Lamb
    #18764813 - 08/27/13 06:37 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

So I bought a lamb steak chop today and have never cooked lamb, my question is should I curry it or marinade and cook it like a steak on the grill or broiler.

Don't marinate or curry, sear it some way, maybe season with salt or pepper, they're pretty much ready to eat raw, but searing will give it a little more flavor.

What about deep frying it like a pork chop?

The fat in lamb is a big part of the flavor, deep frying, is gonna mess that flavor up, by making it compete with whatever oil is in fryer.

Grill Or Broiler is easiest but a sautee pan or cast iron skillet  will work . I would suggest med rare to medium.

Lamb tastes best when you can't taste the lamb.

So is it a steak or a chop?  What cut of lamb do you have to work with.

It was a steak an you're right about the lamb taste, definitely not the best tasting meat I've had.

No kimino is greek for cumin seed But when you crush the seeds it has more flavor than ground cumin.
