Say what?? Oh yeah, ask an "expert". Consult a "test" designed by an "expert". Was that expert ever sociopathic, or just capable of determining who is and what the "proper" "treatment" "should" be?

I'm just skeptical because a lot of people seek out these "mental illnesses" as a way to make themselves seem special. To definitively say OP is doing that would be presumptious, but it does follow some trends. If I discovered I was really psychopathic I'd immediately go talk to someone with some knowledge about it, not a drug forum.
In my high school and some college years, we had what I call an "OCD epidemic". Even one of my teachers would constantly call themselves OCD, and they essentially changed OCD from "crippling disorder" to "special perfectionist". Whenever they'd fuss over details or do well on something, they'd employ confirmation bias and call themselves OCD. I mean dozens of people here, it was fucking ridiculous. We had people discussing how OCD they were with other OCD people.
In hollywood there are quite a few television shows sprouting up where the protagonist is depicted as a psychopath. A lot of people seem to enjoy the idea of a cold, charming, highly intelligent protagonist dancing circles around the world. This is the first step to trivializing psychopathy. These shows are cutesy, mental illness is not.
Psychopathy and OCD and schizophrenia are not tools to make people feel special, they're serious. I guess it's fair to say that I cannot know for sure whether OP is a psychopath, because I have relatively limited information about him. But I remain skeptical.
PS. I agree that experts are biased as well, and can be wrong. However they're more reliable and impartial than the OP is. Furthermore if you don't subscribe to their "expert" definitions and "tests" then we have no common definition for a psychopath. Without a common denominator the only logical solution is to "let it be" and not try to define OP as a psychopath. I would prefer this. However I'm not the one who opened the psychopathic can o' worms.

Well this has really devolved and I've gained not much of anything so peace to this nuttgobbler of a thread.
Response to Clock, professionals cost money, a lot, I thought before blowing my whole bank I might figure out whether treatment would be necessary.
As for Lunareclipse, thanks for being the lone dick responder in the thread, and seeing as how I havent chosen said secondary characteristics I dont see how I can choose to adopt primary characteristics. Also, i think you are qualified to go help gay people to stop making the choice to be gay. Good day, and sorry for this wreck of a thread.

Fair enough. I'd say you have "psychopathic tendencies" if you wish to label it. Close enough to somewhat identify with them, but probably not full blown.
I'd say the a good judge on whether or not it's a mental "illness" and not just a trait it whether or not it negatively impacts your quality of life and stress. If that's the case then seeking a professional's opinion is probably a suitable course of action.
Otherwise it's not an illness and you're fine. But I'm not a professional, I'm some dude on a drug forum.

I mean sounds like your family still talks with you, and you still have a cat. No real sociopath would allow either in his life.
On the contrary. Hitler was very fond of his Alsatian dog 'Blondie,' and he allegedly wept for a week when his canary died. He was popular with the ladies. One of my abnormal psychology textbooks, one I used in a doctoral level seminar in clinical psychology, profiled a sociopath who raised pidgins, which he was very gentle with. However, if one became sick or injured, he would throw it, alive, down the incinerator chute. General statements are just not accurate or true.

One does not need to have experienced a disease to treat it. That is absurd. Dissocial (formerly Antisocial) Personality Disorder is easily identified, but it defies any and all psychotherapeutic interventions. (Ever watch the film A Clockwork Orange)? That is why societies incarcerate their sociopaths. May as well segregate them from less dangerous 'normal' folk.

That's not a very sociopathic statement to me. Lots of strong emotional words such as "I hate... I love..." etc. I don't think most sociopaths even know or think about the fact that they're sociopaths.

I appreciate good input. Thank you sir. I stumbled on a lesser disorder on the spectrum called Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm not quite going to diagnose myself, but seeing something that also fits quite well that is less severe makes me a lot less concerned about ineffectiveness of treatment toward sociopaths. Should/thread

That's twice in one thread you have called me a dick, and made some odd reference to gay. You seem confused as to where your thread belongs. Hint hint - physical and mental health and well being. There if I don't stroke you it's OK to call me a dick, here not really.

noone on this thread stoked me... you just happen to have posted twice in the tone of a dick. There, 3 times. Now go summon dragons "LunarEclipse"
Let me help you. Read the rules before posting here. Personalisms are not allowed. You called me a dick, twice. Don't backpedal, and now say "tone of a dick".
Summon dragons? You make little sense on the best of days. I can see why you aren't the least bit sure what condition your condition is in.

I couldnt be bothered to read all of this thread because "self tests" are flawed in every direction, even the label "psychopath/ic/disorder" is a fabrication for "psychiatric doctors" to continue their collusion with big pharma and coercive methods using dangerous neuroleptics with devastating side effects on your fellow humans.
I work with "psychopaths" as you call them - all of them are 'unsuccessful ones' - i.e. ones who got caught but as a member of my society, I am in/directly affected by them (the successful ones).
If you seek the medicalised bull shit route of diagnostic nonsense, then dont expect a badge with a PCL-R score on, you could however tattoo one on your arm to hide the shame and guilt of your so-called condition. A "psychopath" is a 'narcissist' with higher intelligence, that's all.
Funny thing is, you probably would fair better in terms of prognosis living in a house ran by non-professionals using zero drugs and no role differentiation as opposed to hospital care, stuffed with "anti-psychotics" and "medical" staff in traditional ma/pa/ternal roles setting up all sorts of mayhemous expectations.
