I was quoting someone else and responding to it. I actually supported your position if you read what I said carefully, not contradicted it.
Although I am sorry it appeals that you feel family pressure to believe a certain thing.
If it helps, remember that if you were born into a muslim family you might be muslim. if you were born into a Christian family you might be Christian. if you were born into an atheist family you might be atheist.
and yet, all of these beliefs cannot be true as they contradict eachother on many levels.
So just HOW confident are you that your religion is the one TRUE religion, when really it is kind of arbitrary?

I have a sneaking suspicion all major religions are connected and have major truths to them. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet. A lot of the same characters and themes. Even the Siddhartha had a lot of the same preachings..just worded differently.

muslims believe jesus was a prophet, but that Muhammad was the most recent and spread the true messages of god.
you can't have it both ways.
how about eastern philosophy?
My main point is that there are so many different beliefs in this world, and they are mostly dictated by your culture. So to blindly follow the one your culture gives you is folly

Never...when you choose to live the lifestyle I have, you better be prepared for this conversation. and to be honest you won the debate. There is a lot of good reason to be atheist.. I just have faith. When I pray I feel 100% it gets heard..Life with no god is a scary concept for many people.

Religion has played a big part when it comes to murder/mass murder.
I think it's best to just keep an open mind when it comes to religion, but killing people because of their Beliefs? If that isn't heartless I don't know what is

Reasons why atheism is horrible and unhealthy for our children and living things:
- Atheists do not have any morality, are heartless, soulless and cold. - Atheists grew up in a bad family, not being loved and abused. - Atheism was brought upon during the French Revolution, one of the most evil time of history. - Communism – evil system created by atheists! - Atheists cannot prove God does not exist and how Earth was created. - No atheist org. contribute to charitable causes, unlike Christians, due to atheism beliefs in Darwinism. - Atheism making you agree with mass murder leaders like Stalin, Mao, Pot, Mussolini and even Hitler! - Atheists are mentally ill, that's why they have no faith and belief. - Countries with high rate of atheism = high suicide rate (Nordic nations). - Atheists tries to convert (young) people into their evil belief over the internet. - Atheists believe in evolutions, and want us to act like animals. - Atheists bash Christianity based on Jewish scriptures (Old Testament/Torah) and organized religion, and tend to ignore or forget how amazing, loving, friendly, supportive, and excellent the most influential person who has even walked on Earth, Jesus Christ, was. Christians found hospitals, universities, science, etc. - Atheists do not believe in Jesus Christ; therefore they must hate their neighbor and enemy. Remember the Sermon on the Mount?
Atheists are minority in the U.S. and the world no matter what "secular" sources and polls voted by few thousands of people tells you that were made up by silly atheists dreaming about making America more atheist, unbiblical and unGodly than what it actually is. More than 90% of Americans believe in God. Period! Christianity is the world's largest religion, and the main religion in the western world. Christianity grows dramatically and goes global.. .
Well? I'm at a loss for words right now
God is great, but not everyone sees him
but they're still blessed :-)
our soul is the most holy we have, and our bodies we should appreciate
I thought what you just cited was funny... we get blinded by our own thoughts sometimes
luckily we all wake up at some time , or maybe in next life

Jesus ate too many mushrooms and became a homosexual, and he hates straight people, sad but true.
