Is the salt content in coco coir bad for mycology?

The only type of coco coir bricks that I can get locally for a low price are Eco Earth bricks. They have a very high salt content. I tested the run off water when I was hydrating some and it was over 2000 PPM. You can not grow plants in that without flushing it. I have grown mushrooms with the Eco Earth with some decent results. However, I am wondering if it would be best to flush the salt out of the coir, then dry it, and then hydrate it to field capacity before spawning. What are your guys' thoughts on this? Is there any evidence that high salt content inhibits myco growth?

I am just wondering if a monotub would produce more without such a high salt content. I am looking for info on the affect of salt on mushroom growth.
