Galerina. May be toxic. How much did he eat?

Some Galerina are deadly but I don't think two of those little guys is anything to worry about as long as he stops eating them...but then again I'm not a doctor.

Maybe something close to Galerina vittiformis. Some species of Galerina contain lethal concentrations of amatoxins, but I can't find any toxicity information for this species.

given the size and amount of the mushrooms i wouldnt be terribly worried, make sure your friend doesnt start getting sick just to be sure. And give him lots of water to drink.

Do a little research on Amatoxins, You might learn something important that may help save a life at some point, probably not, but hey if you deal with mushies, you should be educated on such matters.
Oh and WELCOME!

If you are in Iceland you should be looking for Psilocybe semilanceata.

I am not sure if the deadly amatoxins are just in Galerina marginata, or if they are spread more widely across the genus. In any case, it would be a real good idea to tell your buddy to stop eating them. Take him to the hospital if he gets sick 6 - 12 hours after ingestion. He probably will not get sick though, those are pretty small mushrooms.
These tiny Galerina species require microscopy to ID them to species.

Well it's been at least 12 hours since he ingested and no symptoms yet so I would think he's gonna be alright, but I advised him to go to a doctor soon just to make sure.
Also don't worry I'm a newbie but I'm well aware of the dangers, I will never ingest a mushroom without properly identifying it and I know semi's are the species one should look for in Iceland.
I'm so happy to have found such a great community and I will definitely utilize all the wisdom this forum has to offer and maybe in the future I can contribute also.
