I just find it hard to do... Unless melting on Lsd and you're oblivious to the game.

Playoff games, yes. Regular season games are difficult. I'm a Detroit Tigers fan and I do watch most games, but not 100% of every game. I stream the games through my tablet and just kind of keep it there in the background, and whenever something happens I'll watch.
However I did once watch a game on a high dose of mushrooms and it felt like the most dramatic sporting event ever -- like game 7 of the World Series or some shit. In reality it was just a meaningless regular season game...1 out of 162.

I'd have to be stoned off my ass on acid to accomplish that feat. Baseball is one of those sports... fun to participate; suicide-inducing to watch.

I know hardcore baseball fans who get amped for every game in the regular season. They'll watch every single inning of every single game. And there's like on average 6 games out of every 7 days of the week. It amazes me how they can do it.
That's why I love football -- the anticipation of the next game, because it doesn't come for another full week. You have all week to get hyped up for it. And there's only 16 regular season games in the NFL (and 12 in college), so every game is big. Baseball on the other hand has 162 freaking games. Overload.

Heh heh, yup. Football is where it's at. If I'm going to watch sports for entertainment it should be played by 400lb men for 8 seconds at a time.
On a side note, it doesn't look like Bama will go all the way for a third time, but hey had a damn good run! (I'm from Bama)

Seriously?! I mean it's tough as fuck to stay on top as long as they have, so maybe it doesn't happen again this year, but they're still loaded and still have Nick Saban. I'd say they have as good a shot as any.

I don't even watch partial baseball games much less full ones. During the NBA offseason I'm sorely deprived of interesting sports to watch.

I used to enjoy playing rugby, that shit is fun. Water polo, may sound lame, but that is one tough sport to play. Those and competitive swimming are my fave sports.
Soccer ain't to bad to play either if you play some challenging people.

how about melting on LSD and pitching an entire game, and pitching a no-hitter at that?

I use the DVR but I usually watch over half the game. Once the post season starts I start watching games in full in real time.

I can totally see it happening. Some people would figure that being on LSD would hinder your performance, but I could see it being the other way around. Can you imagine the level of focus you would have if in the right mindset on L? I know online gaming doesn't compare (lol) to pitching on a Major League Baseball mound, but I have been on mushrooms and playing online Madden or Call of Duty and just absolutely killed it. I was in the zone of zones. Every detail was amplified and I was just seeing things develop before everyone else at that time.
So I could see that fa sho as a great help too Dock Ellis that day.

Unless it's a rival game or a get together for the game I only watch it 7th inning and up.

I don't follow sports really but I went to a baseball game a week or two ago with my kids and it was pretty fun. Shame the beer is so expensive.

Vodka is cheaper. Get the small bottles. I went to a game with my old man and we talked to this woman who was stuffing about 20 of the pocket shots into her boots, hat, jacket, and pants. Though it was funny.

No, I prefer to watch sports, which require athleticism and physical conditioning. Baseball isn't a sport, it's a game. No more athletic than table tennis. Football is Americas Sport. Baseball is Americas game.

Baseball isn't football or basketball athletically (obviously), but it is most certainly a sport. Bowling or Nascar or shit like that -- those aren't sports. But check out some of the incredibly plays & catches that are made in the outfield to record outs. That isn't average athleticism out there in the outfield. Especially in center field. Any of those CFs in the majors would absolutely blow away whomever the top "athlete" (lol'd) at the shroomery is. And by like 100 miles.
It depends on what position it is in baseball. A pitcher can have a fat ass beer gut because they don't have to do anything but pitch. But shortstops & outfielders (for example) are terrific athletes. And some, if not most are on the elite level as far as athleticism goes.
Just a few examples
Average athletes don't make plays like that.
