That's awesome. It's definitely got some really complex sounds coming from it, really good mix down.

WOW, that first one is really sick. Love the vocal sample. Second one is pretty solid psytrance. Wizard indeed. Guys probably got some golden ears if he is the mastering engineer for all his work. It's really well balanced stuff.

I've been trying to emulate the psybient sound in music I make, but I can never quite get it (I've finished no songs in that genre). I've been playing with Kontakt libraries a lot, which are quite awesome, but still can't quite get that that down to earth acoustic sound just right. Try and try again.

Do you have good monitors and acoustic treatment at all?

NO, not whatsoever unfortunately. I've been head phoning it pretty much, which isn't good by any means and definitely shows. I have a savings account set up solely for saving up on gear though, some nice monitors are the first on my list, and I hope to get some in the coming months.

Aside from mixing skill, that is a major flaw in getting a good overall sound.

I switch between headphones and monitors, and have panels about my room. makes such a tremendous difference. so, so key to be working in flat acoustics. only way to hear what you are REALLY doing.

but certainly dont let that deter you.

What kind of monitors and monitor headphones do you have?

How big of a difference do the panels make? What brand are you using? and where all do you have them located? Would love to see your setup if you got pics.

I'll have to upload some pics of my setup as well.

I've had a set of these Dynaudio BM6A MKII's for a few years now and their and outstanding set of reference monitors.

A bit pricey for the average person but they produce ultra crisp flat sound when you want it but also sound amazing if you're just listening to music. Just need some sort of an equalizer to boost certain freqs, especially the bass.

I have the  Dynaudio BM5A MKII :P  my audio guru said I had to small of a room to need the 6's.

The Panels attenuate phase cancellation.  So that you get more of the pure waves coming from the monitors and get less reverb which either boosts or cuts bandwidths of overall frequency.
