Need help identifying
    #18781286 - 08/31/13 12:58 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Habitat:
I found these in central pennsylvania, they were growing in decomposing leaves/wood under some trees.
Gills:
The gills are white and attached

Stem:
The stems range from under 1" to 4", the largest diameter stem is about half an inch, the stems are white to tan with yellow on some of the mushrooms. They are not hollow and have a stringy texture. They are very white on the inside of the stalk.

Cap:
The largest cap is about 2.5" but most of them are 1" or smaller. The cap goes from brown in the center to a lighter shade of yellow the closer it gets to the edge of the cap.

Bruising:
There was no bruising

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Yea, you can call them that, though it would be cooler to call them Armillaria.
