Help... water drops on top of my cakes
    #18776516 - 08/30/13 08:49 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Hello everyone,
i just put my first little cake in the fruiting chamber 2 days ago and the humidity seems to be good but i realized my cakes is holding some water drops on top...is it bad?
i used the dunk technique but did not roll on verm...to control humidity im using only a reptil fogger(ultrasonic) 24h and my fruiting box has some holes in the botton for air exchange...what do you guys think?!
thanks!!

Gently lap them up with a clean paper towel....

If there is only holes In the bottom you need to make more. Look up the shotgun fruiting chamber, that tells you how many holes to drill.

Hey...
thank you guys for helping me!!!

here goes a pic from my FC:

as you can see the fogger's hose is placed on top and the holes down, my intention was to have air circulating...i drilled also another layer of holes but it seemed to be too much(i think the holes are too wide  ....so i covered it with tape

here you can see the fog that goes out when the fogger is on...is that not enough for my FAE??

my feeling is that i should not have the fogger on all the time...

Foggers provide 0 FAE.

They are also useless unless you have a greenhouse.

You do not have a greenhouse, so I would ditch it.

Build a proper SGFC.....

Still amazes me that people use outdated techniques then wonder why shit doesnt work. Not to slam the poster, but a proper search would give you more than enuff information on how to do it up to date and with the latest techniques. Start off informed as best you can, then ask questions to tweak your system!

I started growing my own shrooms 2 months ago i think. I started to use a bag that came with my growing kit. But nothing has happened.

Than everyone here told me how to do it, and i bought everything to built a proper fruiting chamber. But i have made just a few holes and nothing happened again. But when i made holes in all 6 sides and followed all the advices for the air circulation, my cake started to fruit in days. If you build a proper fruiting chamber you will see the results! I am just a begginer and that's my expirience until now.
