Sad now.

I took some mushrooms about an hour ago and... Nothing. I made some tea with around an eighth. Here's what I did. Boiled water, removed from heat, added chopped fresh shrooms, set it for 15 minutes with 2 tea bags of green tea, I then strained out the mushrooms and tea bags leaving myself with a blue-green liquid. I then consumed. Did I do something wrong?

Have never tried that method but it sounds right to me, and definitely should have hit you by now, strange.

Nope. I've done it this way for over Two decades, I usually let it kind of simmer for 10 minutes though.
Have you tested the potency of this batch before? Have you dosed recently to build a tolerance?
Give it some more time.......

No haven't tested the potency. First flush of it. No tolerance, first time with shrooms. I'll just chill and wait it out I guess.

im curious though, did you make tea because you were afraid of the taste, because you were afraid of the nausea, or because you wanted it to be stronger?

I read that it's the more popular method and helps nausea.

I read that it's the more popular method and helps nausea.
it has its benefits, i think its a more ritualistic way to take it, wich is definately a plus, i think a certain ammount of ritual helps keep a healthy respect for the substance. the nausea is a hit or miss though, some people can eat an eighth and not get it at all, others get nausea from a gram and a half. just depends on your body. i tried using dramamine to combat the nausea once, all i remember was that in that instance i didnt feel any nausea with the trip, and it was an intense trip, very introverted... (wich wasnt what we were going for, we were trying to camp out and have fun lol) but it would have been perfect for a solo trip. I have no idea how the dramamine effected the trip, but that is something that is said to help nausea. really the nausea isnt even bad. I would strongly suggest you try eating them regularly first, and if nausea is a problem, then look for solutions. no need to go out of your way for a solution if there is no problem. im rambling. also, for eating them, i highly recommend a peanut butter and shroom sandwich, completely masks the taste of the shrooms, and tastes awesome.

I read that, if he grew them then someone could have given him the wrong spores and he might have grown edible mushrooms.

From experience I can say that simmering the shrooms for ~10 min is essential. One time I was too cautious with cyans (thankfully, otherwise I would have had an earth shattering trip) and just poured hot water over them and drank that. I barely tripped, lesson learned though. Sorry your night was a letdown!

First grow? Your tea method will work but it's more efficient to do something like the method in my sig.
Wait for the next flush (if that's where you're at) and up the dosage. Takes time to dial it in, and you don't know the potency of what you're growing.
Also post pics next time of the fruits, who knows?????
