Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
These both grew under evergreen canopy on edge of undergrowth line
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
White with wrinkled skin appearance.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc. 4" long have a cauliflower skin texture.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Darker orange undertone with textured flakes of skin peeling up inside cone. Older specimens I left behind were 8-9" across and much shallower.
Spore print color: Very important!
?
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Gomphus are poisonous but you can still eat them. Just do not eat a whole ton at once. 10 or 20 bites are fine...200 bites not so much. In pic 4 you have some real chanterelles also.

I knew the chanterelles, this is year 2 of pickin em, those other buggers i had never seen before last year. I knew they weren't yellow chants but i was curious, the only other substantial neighbors in the woods were some kind of russula(sp?) red/pink cap with all white inside/stem/gills
