There is nothing illegal about the actions of the state of Florida.  The man had a trial and was acquitted, there was no "illegal prosecution."

Maybe, maybe not.  Under Florida law, it is illegal for the State to make an arrest for murder unless there is probable cause that the action was unlawful.

(2) A law enforcement agency may use standard procedures for investigating the use of force as described in subsection (1), but the agency may not arrest the person for using force unless it determines that there is probable cause that the force that was used was unlawful.

That's debatable.  There is a strong argument that the DA violated her duty by bringing charges in this case.  Some of the evidence to support that argument:

1. She misrepresented the evidence in her affidavit in support of the charges
2. Evidence was intentionally withheld from the defense
3. There is at least an appearance or impropriety in the way key officers appear to have been punished for not believing there to be a case against Zimmerman.

Now, at this point, we don't know the whole story, and you're always entitled to believe/reject whatever you want.  On the other hand, there are plenty of rational people who do believe that the DA engaged in misconduct.  Alan Dershowitz is a prime example.

Indeed and we can also examine the involvement of the Obama administration interfering in a local prosecution.  Which is not to say that I want the feedral government to pay the  bill, because that means me paying the bill.  I would like Holder and the punks he sent down to personally pay if this is proven to be the political racist witch hunt I think it was.  Also that Floridd AG slag.  Oh did I mis-spell Florida?  My bad.

The Cold War never ended and there is no right side in Syria and never has been.  Never will be, either.
