Wednesday MI Mushroom Hunt
    #18775530 - 08/29/13 10:46 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Hey everyone. I just thought I'd share some pictures my girlfriend and I took of various fungi. The intent of this thread really isn't to get any I.D.s because I didn't have much time to take many detailed pictures. That, and we had no intent of gathering or consuming any.

I apologize for the quality of any of the pictures beforehand, it was kind of a spur of the moment thing and all we had was an iPhone with us. If anyone feels like identifying any of the fungi posted just for the heck of it, that would be awesome too. I'll upload part of the set for now to see who's interested. If this sparks any interest, I'll post the rest later.

Possible Pluteus salicinus? (First one below)

Cool finds :paradissunsmall:

1. Seems more like Pluteus cervinus (did you notice any blue bruising?)
2. and 9. Are Mycena haematopus
3. May be Lepiota

Thanks!

My memory fails me, I don't recall seeing bruising at all. Even if there was some, I did not notice any blue blemishes. If I have the time I might venture back to that spot to see if I can get any blue out of it. And after some quick research, I discovered that 3 is striking similar to Lepiota cristata.

The last one is a Trichaptum species. Do you know if it was growing from hardwood or conifer?
