Posted these up a few days ago but didnt get any replys. My impression on them is Cortinarius species. Unfortunately i discarded them after trying to ID for a few days so they wouldnt get mistaken for a chantrelle when dried up.
Looking for the genus here, thanks.
Habitat:

Growing under conifer tree from debri. Possibly on buried wood or roots but nothing visible.
cap is a golden/orangish color

Spores deposited on stem of picture above.
Spore print: rusty brown
Bruising : none noticed

Kinda looks like C. armillatus, but I have zero confidence in Cortinarius identification.

Thank you both
I find lots of red/orange corts and dont get any further than that in identifying them. Ive heard you often need to scope them to tell the species.

I would never try any
I would hate to accidently eat Cortinarius rubellus or orellanus, Which are supposedly some of the most poisonous mushrooms out there.
