Supposedly the didgeridoo is the oldest musical instrument. I just love hypnotic droning sound it makes. I made one awhile back with an abs plastic pipe. Managed to get the drone down, but can't get circular breathing down for the life of me. If anyone has an easy to learn techniques please enlighten me.

I was going to make my own back in the day when I was really interested, but I gave up when I realized I would have to circular breathe, which I can't do at ALL.

Here is mine, Day one. It took a friend and I about 2 hours to get this far. Its fun for sure! Make sure you get nice 'n' baked before, during, and after too.
The shape is done and sanded with medium then very fine paper.
Looking into the mouth-peice.
Close up of the bell.
Into the bell.
I primed it two coats. Tomorrow I will sand and prime it again. Im not sure how im going to paint it yet. More pics tomorrow prolly.

awesome Effed...you make it look so easy
From the instructions on that page you posted I got the impression that you'd have to know something about digeridoos in order to make anything that was worth while...which basically leaves me outta the loop (seeing as I've never even tried playing one before, yet alone thought about what it would take to make one of my own) Was this your first try, or did you scrap a few before you wound up with the one you got now? Does it sound like a real dige, or are you not able to test it out yet? Oh, and how much did it cost for all the materials you needed? Who knows, I might just be willing to take a swing at it myself.
In any case though - yours looks great...I hope it works out for ya

Thank you! This is my first time and it was pretty straight-forward. I really didnt know anything about didj's other than that I love how they sound. I learned all i know from the web. I would love to see others give it a wack. The material was only $5 for 10ft of 2 inch schedule 40 pipe. The most expensive part is the heat gun which runs about $20-$40, borrow one of you can. It sounds pretty damn amazing. Note: The didj in the picture I made is 44 inches long, has 33 dimples, and 6 outies. Good luck!

Wow, nice work. My didj is nothing more than a 4 foot long 1 1 /2 wide length of abs plastic tubing. Do the dimples enhance the sound or are they just for looks? Oh and thanks for those links. I read them and they gave me the motivation to try and learn circular breathing once again.

The dimples add back-pressure which makes it easier to play longer.

Close-up of the bells.
Passed out on the floor POV.
Here is a close up of my wacky paint job.
That was fun! It only took 4 days. I still have some artwork to do on it yet. Next time Ill post pictures of the completed didj.
