Well I guess it just depends on what we're talking about. Because there's plenty of things I'd like more of. But for example, I'd rather be not very drunk than too drunk -- like spinning and puking drunk. Or not very high at all, like on coke or something for instance, than too much where you feel like your heart is about to explode.

Or even eating. I'd rather be a little hungry still than too full to where your stomach hurts and you have to walk like a penguin just to make it down the hallway.

Depends on the persepctive.

for a some one who sews clothing together, to little is worse
if that person plans on making it to work the next day
too much drinking is worse.

I've done too much coke, but I've always had too little of it.

If "less is more," then according to transitive property, more is less, so less is more than more but still less than or the same amount as less. Basically more of less is more than less, which is, therefore, equal to less than less, but greater than more than more. More is only lesser than less if less is more, and less is always less than more, except under these circumstances.

Finally, "more is less" is only valid when less than more is the same as more than more or more than less. However, "less is more" is always valid if the above statements are nullified by less actually being more.

Pretty much common knowledge, bro. Hell I overheard my 7 year old nephew dropping this knowledge on some little neighborhood hood rats the other day.

too much is worse, if it's too little you can always take more, but you can't take less.

too little is worse. For ALMOST everything.

  • Sex
  • Money
  • Food
  • Friendship
  • Height
  • How much you studied for a test
  • How much drugs your dealer just gave you for free
  • How many cars you have
  • Trust
  • Attractiveness
  • ...

This is a question that requires perspective first.

example..
too much debt is bad

too little mescaline is bad (below threshold)

too much heroin is death

too little food is bad

all relative
