Any other climbing shroomerites?

I've gotten into climbing pretty hardcore the past couple years, and I can honestly say it has changed my life for the better. I'm completely obsessed with it. It is my passion and most of what I do and own is related to it now.
So, is anyone else into this here?

I like to climb old growth trees, sometimes with rock climbing gear. I lost my gear somewhere though in one of my moves.

I love trad climbing, I like big adventures... But, central Texas is the mecca for feature-rich short technical limestone sport climbing with 5 minute approaches, so that's mostly what I get to do.

I would like to get more into climbing, something my son and I could do together when he gets a bit older.

I'm a climber. I pretty much only go climbing the gym. I've been doing that for like a year and a half now. I climb right around 5.10's and a couple of 5.11's. I just learned how to sport lead and that is so much fucking fun. I've gone outside once and hopefully I'll be sport leading outside this weekend. I have climbing league tonight as well (every Tuesday!). I fucking love climbing. I love falling too, especially big lead falls. Such a rush. I took a nice 15 foot fall when I was trying to clip over a ceiling the other week and it was so fucking fun. I'm glad there was a double ceiling because otherwise I would have smashed my head into the wall.
Fuck climbing is awesome.

What part of the country are you in? I'm sure there's some good rock around you.

Midwest. We have some good rock. Palisade Head is my dream to climb. I'm going to do that next year. Might head down to Redwing to climb a little this weekend, rock's not as good but they have some cool sport lead stuff from what I hear. We also have Taylor's Falls which is really fun to climb and then you can go cliff jumping afterwards.

I was too nauseous to climb at climbing league yesterday, too bad. I'll have to go tomorrow.

Dude, if I had that cliff line close to me, there's no way I would be pulling on plastic. That's some beautiful rock.

I'm a climber and a caver. I prefer to be underground and I really love vertical work. I got my children into climbing when they were still crawling. It's our thing.

That's awesome!
Caving always sounded pretty interesting. You usually rap in? And then ascend/prusik up?

No prusik. I use mechanical ascenders. The caves are all different. Some start out as tiny holes crawling in. Others have big open air pits. One of my favorites is Ellison's cave in north west Georgia. It has the deepest free fall pit in the us at 586 ft. Fantastic pit it is called. Do a Google image search of it. I've done some through trips in that cave (in one side of the mountain and out the other side) and it's about 30 hours of not stop exploring.
Caving is so rad. I describe it as satisfying your childhood imagination.

If my old roommate who climbs still lived with me I would have probably bought some equipment and gone with him a bunch, but he is gone and I don't know too many other people that climb right now. Plus I do not have any time to go at the moment.

From the looks of it you are a bit north in the midwest. And that picture looks amazing. We have a 40-60 ft cliff that is over the water at a lake by us that is too much fun to climb. I have only made it about halfway so far, but get a bit higher each time. And when you fall it is just back into the water, makes me want to go back soon.
Ever been down to the southern IL area, jackson falls to be exact? My old roommate who used to climb said it was one of the best places to climb east of the mississippi. I went there once for my first time climbing and had an absolute blast.
