Slight concern about my cardiovascular system

I am in good muscular shape however I do not run much, only a couple miles a week. I walk alot though. Generally my resting heart rate in the morning is 59-61bpm which is very good in my opinion. Walking it raises to about 90 and running 100. What troubles me is that many drugs ironically except amphetamine induce a fast heart rate. If I smoke a good amount of weed it is a fairly consistent 135bpm. Today I decided to measure it coming up on 25c-nbome and it was 130bpm, I was unable to take further measurements today for my own reasons. For the medically knowledged people in this forum do you think I may have a heart problem or that a 135bpm heart rate is fine for a period of about 5 hours. I know that is is technically fine however I know it is unhealthy so I have been getting in the habit of taking clonazepam to counteract this. Do you believe there is any real danger in a 135bpm heart rate for about 5 hours?

That's peculiar, how is your bpm higher after smoking weed than after running?? And if youre running for a considerable amount of time I find it hard to believe your bpm is only 100.

My resting heart rate is 50...after smoking weed it'll shoot up to 80-90bpm for about 15 minutes then it goes back down
I used to have the same problem you speak of and coincidentally I was taking clonazepam when it started happening...I know k-pins are supposed to slow down your heart rate but it had the opposite effect on me for some reason. When I stopped popping k-pins it went away
I know that probably doesn't help much but that's my experience...

I only take the clonazepam if my heart rate is that high for a decent amount of time, and it lowers it. So for me it does work for lowering heart rate but I find about 4-5 alcoholic beverages or liquor to be more effective since I have alot more of that than clonazepam and it takes about 1-2mg of clonaz for the same effect. Thanks for the info.

My heart stopped racing after I stopped eating bananas. I was tripping one time and a God talked in my head about eating bacon every day. I started eating it and it caused the heart to race again so I stopped. But I was still eating grains. 8 months ago I stopped eating grains, and started eating bacon every day. I don't get racing heart problems. I never used to exercise because I never had any energy and forcing myself to move would only wipe me out and cause my heart to race. 8 months with a grain free diet and I now have energy to exercise.

After 3 miles of running, my heart rate jumps to 220 I find 100bpm running heart rate hard to believe also.

I just looked into heart rate in regards to exercise, max and target. Your max heart rate is 220 minus your age. If you're running for a bit of time you should be able to reach around 80% of your max heart rate which is your target heart rate. For me 195 is my max heart rate (multiply by .8 to get 80%) and 156 is my target. After running at a fast clip for over 5 mins I start hitting 175 which is like 90% of my max.
Quote:
Fitness Zone (Fat Burning) --- 60 - 70% of maximum heart rate: This zone provides the same benefits as the healthy heart zone, but is more intense and burns more total calories. The percent of fat calories is still 85%.
Aerobic Zone (Endurance Training) --- 70 - 80% of maximum heart rate: The aerobic zone will improve your cardiovascular and respiratory system AND increase the size and strength of your heart. This is the preferred zone if you are training for an endurance event. More calories are burned with 50% from fat.
Anaerobic Zone (Performance Training) --- 80 - 90% of maximum heart rate: Benefits of this zone include an improved VO2 maximum (the highest amount of oxygen one can consume during exercise) and thus an improved cardiorespiratory system, and a higher lactate tolerance ability which means your endurance will improve and you'll be able to fight fatigue better. This is a high intensity zone burning more calories, 15 % from fat.
Red Line (Maximum Effort) --- 90 - 100% of maximum heart rate: Although this zone burns the highest number of calories, it is very intense. Most people can only stay in this zone for short periods. You should only train in this zone if you are in very good shape and have been cleared by a physician to do so.

I took the 100bpm measurement after only running about 100 meters. Since I measure my heart rate so often I have a good feel for how fast it is and I think when I run 2 miles it goes about 150-160. So 130 isn't too high compared to that but you rarely will run with a high heart rate for hours on end, whereas a drug induced increase lasts hours. Also for me when my heart goes this fast on weed I just have that look in me like I could kill someone, If I stare as a dog it will run away.

Your resting pulse is 59-60, that is good.
Obvious its the drugs that are raising your heart rate which is expected.
Your version of running could be much different from people here.
I am not even sure what you think is the concern? Keeping your heart rate elevated for 5 hours is fine.
