Question about grain - Rye Seeds

I purchased the "Lets grow mushrooms" dvd however, it doesn't really say anything about how to inoculate jars with rye seeds, I assume you only inject about 1cc of spores similar to doing BRF cakes? So you'd just inject some spores on top of the seeds and that's it?
Also, I decided to use tyvek for my filter. I was going to seal it inside my GB with rtv silicon gasket sealer after I inoculate. Would this be the correct way to go about this? And should I only inoculate one hole in the jar lid?
Another thing I was wondering is how to make trays with trays you'd buy at the dollar store for cooking? Can you use just verm?
Thank you,

If its quart jars 1-2Ml. Make your lids before you prepare your grain and PC. The PC will create a vaccume if you don't have a filter when you PC and trying to put a filter on an already sterile jar will only cause problems even if you do do it in a SAB considering the silicone and filter both wont be sterile. Also verm is a non-nutritive casing material not a bulk substrate. You can use verm with coir or manure which are both bulk substrates. You should do a bit more research before taking off.

Yes, aluminum baking trays work. Make sure you can get 3" sub out of it. Think about lining it with plastic of some sort.
Don't use just verm. Use 50/50 coco coir/verm.

I have the lids made and covered with tyvek (Just how it shows in the video) and they are sterilizing in the pressure cooker right now. My question was, once I make a hole with the syringe can't I just cover it with a dab of silicon so it's not essentially exposed with an open hole?
Are you talking about coco coir that comes in a brick like form? I'm very interesting in doing tin trays and would like to find out how.. which I thought this video would show me how to but it doesn't.

Oh I see what you were saying. You can just put a piece of tape over it. You also could have used some of that RTV to make a self healing injection port.

Thank you for the responses, guys.
Can anyone point me into the direction on an easy tek to use coir and verm for tin trays?
Thanks,
