L.E.D. questions

First, do they work? Secondly, where do you get them and which do you reccomend? I seem to think a little light is more stealthy.

yes they work...any electronics store. I recomend the red ones..or maybe the blues...but the greens are also nice...oh oh and the white ones remind me of christmas.

X-mas lights.....if you cant find them yet give it a month or two and you'll be tripping, no pun intended, on them in every store.

I have a friend that had excellent results using one of those USB blue/white LED's that are supposed to be a flexible light for a laptop PC. Very bright and worked wonderfully. Also the LED's use very little electricity and don't burn hot like incandescent bulbs.

Peace,

I remember when blue LED's hit the market many years ago. In my Mouser catalog they were listed at around $80 a pop. Prices have come down considerably, and are now listed for less than $2 each. Peak wavelength for a blue led is 430nm, and has outputs from 63-800mcd (.063-.80 candelas). I would use a combination of blue and green LED's. Red light is said to have no effect.
