Toxicity Although all Armillaria species were for many years generally considered edible when thoroughly cooked, those members of the honey fungus group (including Armillaria mellea) that occur on hardwoods are now viewed as suspect, as cases of poisoning have now been clearly linked to eating these fungi. We therefore recommend that this species is not collected for the pot.

-------------------- One night I sat at an edge of a free way bridge and ate some shrooms i could feel the wind kissing my body it was like God had a purpose of me being here the car lights were sparkling and forming into different shapes. I felt that if i died everything would be fine because I felt God could take me in his arms and fly me to heaven . All my problems Vanished. I had never felt so much happiness.
That was the best day of my life

I agree with Armillaria, They are edible and not poisonous, although it can cause digestive upsets in some people, many consider it a good edible.

TY Oregonbloomshroom I still think Ill pass on the eating. Im going hunting early today I found a nice ne facing slope on google maps that has been abandoned for a long long time. no one has ever built houses there. Is it true that mushrooms mainly occur on the north-northeast end of a slightly sloped hill? Because Ive found a lot of my mushrooms on the west ends of hills which is weird. I mainly seek out wet areas with rich soil and lots of dead trees. gulleys and hill sides, preferably with ponds or streams. I follow hardwood and softwood tree lines. I am still learning my trees but know the common ones. I found most of my Amanita in white pines. I live by a pine tree farm and to my amazement there arent any popping up in those trees. its a north facing slope too! Anyone with some more info I would appreciate it as far as direction a hill is facing.

wiki-
"Edible - Choice. Honey Fungus or pidpenky (Ukrainian: підпеньки) are considered in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany and other European countries to be one of the best wild mushrooms and highly prized. They are commonly ranked above morels and chanterelles and only the cep / porcini is more highly prized."
