All you need is a great idea and enough people to help you get that idea out there that you can screw over later.
And it helps to be the lovable underdog.
Oh and probably a good PR Rep so the people love you even when you shit on them. If they love you they'll be proud of paying three times more than they should have to for your product.

you need time without distractions to think of an innovative idea that will generate money.

Become a LSD enthusiast pescetarian Buddhist inventor of broadly helpful things with the ethic of "Focus and Simplicity".
"Don't be trapped by dogma -- which is living with the results of other people's thinking," Jobs said. "Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice."
-------------------- Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order: 1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine 2)Amanita (urine drank twice) 3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose) 4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators) 5)Salvia (need to try quid)

Who said steve jobs was enlightened?
what does enlightened even mean?
I'm sure you could ask 20 different people and get 20 very different answers
if you want self-improvement , take lsd , or meditate/change lifestyle,do charity
jobs claimed he took LSD and loved it, never that he was enlightened
lots of people have improved their lives from lsd
havenẗ heard about the same from many other drugs(although some people claim it), only lsd/mushrooms I hear it about often and sometimes mdma too
lsd/mushrooms/mdma have been scientifically proven to help with self-improvement in various ways death anxiety, psychological trauma, alcohol addiction, general anxiety/depression etc.
they can pretty much cure all of that in many cases
most psychedelics can help with self-improvement, but you often need a shaman to help with psychedelics like ayahuasca
but obviously you creating this thread shows you disrespect psychedelics' sacred use
the best way to use them is for self-improvement IMO
would only recommend lsd to anybody, it's the best drug I've ever used except nature/meditation/lucid dreaming , lucid dreaming is a little better than lsd
if you are curious about your mind/reality you should try lsd, that's why I think jobs did it

jobs was a product of his time. as time goes on, being influential becomes increasingly difficult. there are plenty of people out there with the equivalent of what steve jobs had, but having that doesn't get you what steve jobs got anymore. you have to have more

The possible residual income streams o 300+ patents wouldn't hurt.
Help many people and you will be helped in turn.

End of thread.
Also you need to come up with a retarded catch phrase that you put on everything. Make yourself seem 'hip' and 'different'. Also steal technologies from other companies, market them as your own, and sue every other company with similar things for "patent infringement".

I think it's only a matter of time before someone would have done what Jobs did
I always wondered why MP3 players were so large/ugly before around 2000 or so
seems it was just apple that had what it took to get a team together and make the hardware
the hardware / software probably wasn't easy to make that small, requires lots of technology, not easy for a small company to start making ipod nanos
but the first ipods were huge, many people could have made their own ipod it's just a microcontroller with a harddisk and lcd display - there are many electronics projects for hooking up a harddisk to MCU and lcd display to play music i.e.
but not as elegant as the way apple did it apple breakthrough was the ipods, and I think both the first ones (big ones) and later ones were genious, would be very hard to code as userfriendly/with as good hardware for most other small companys
Before the first ipod there was Zen players, very expensive, and looked not very pretty IMO and not very userfriendly either, and very limited space but still an alternative of course, just not as good as say a 80GB ipod, they only had 8GB max iirc (or thereabout)
btw the only Apple product I have owned and probably ever will own is an 4GB ipod nano, so I'm not a member of the church of applestore ;-) I just think the first ipods were brilliant... even though they were easily destroyed pretty cool with 80-160GB mp3s on the go almost wish I have one , only got a 4GB ipod nano, it's too little space
