Searching for Rap like Eyedea & Abilities

It's rare for a band to catch me like these guys have and the more I listen the deeper it gets...it's like philosophical, intellectual worldviews thrown down in rhyme with mad music behind it.
I'm new into Hip Hop and Rap (coming from Rock/Punk/Indie) so have no idea what's good and a lot of what I've listened to by just downloading it after finding it on sites that say "Sounds like" isn't really of the same vein. Like comparing, say, Grateful Dead, to ACDC. The closest I've found is Kristoff Krane who is pretty good.
So I'm looking for any good hip hop recommendations, and any that sound like these guys.

Eyedea was definitely in the genius range. At 19 he was demonstrating understanding many people will never come to in their lives.

You can't find similar to Eyedea. He was a living fucking legend! Master of the mind and music. Anyways, he used to do a lot of work with Slug from Atmosphere.

Oliver Hart is something he produced himself, if you haven't listened to this yet I'm sure you'll like it.
A lot of stuff from Rhymesayers is pretty good. I'm a little biased though since it's all pretty close to home for me. 95% of the hip-hop or "rap" (as some people can't differentiate the two) that I listen to is Rhymesayers stuff. Particularly Eyedea and Atmosphere. I think Aesop is pretty good too. Oh yea, check out the Dynospectrum too. And Deep Puddle Dynamics (DPD is Slug and some other random guys but they get way philosophical and shit haha).

Hearing deep philosophy in music makes me feel less alienated for being such a "heady" sort of guy.

Eyedea "Micheal Larson" was an incredible soul.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and BSing with him when he was still alive. His death hit me pretty hard because of the impact his music had on me, let alone the whole Minnesota hip-hop scene- and those who his music touched.
I've also had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time at shows with some of his good friends, whose music I also love and would recommend to you guys to check out.
Sadistik released this song earlier this year about his death and friendship.
Kristoff Krane was essentially Eyedea's best friend. He does a lot of work with at risk youth and is an all around cool guy. I'd also recommend you check out his book, I'm sure a lot of you would dig. 'The Other' By Christopher M. Keller.
Then of course there is No Bird Sing. An awesome gritty, intelligent and poetic fusion of hip-hop and rock, I fucking love these guys. A lot of their album music has been taken down off youtube, but their live performances are still fucking good recorded and even better live.
