What helps you STAY asleep? (Insomniacs)
    #18760836 - 08/26/13 06:25 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

I  always had trouble sleeping, even through childhood.

Currently, I tried:
not smoking weed b4 sleep, no liquids before 8pm, being in bed an hour early. White noise. No caffeine after 12pm. No caffeine at all........

I eat a healthy diet, full of fruits, veggies, nuts and hemp protein, with lots of exercise. I shop 2x a week due to getting the freshest products possible.

Feels like I tried everything, but I know I didn't.

I went through a week of school, and it felt quite debilitating in my current, sleep deprived mental state. I could function, but it was difficult staying focused.

Phenibut came in today. Hope it works:thumbup: been studying this compound for a while now.

What other ways promote a restful sleep?

Prescription sleeping pills, of course. Preferably time released.

Although taking sleeping pills for sleep seems logical, I wouldn't want to rely on prescription meds to induce my sleep.

obviously, my first choice is going to a doctor for help, but I have no insurance.

Yeah try this:

- MOVE during the day (with caps lock and everything. Don't just move, MOVE!!!)
- take melatonin 30-40 mins before going to sleep.

Obviously you're staying away from alcohol, coffee, pharma pills, grilled junk food and other crap Westerners and especially Americans tend to stuff themselves with, then wonder what's wrong. Avoid TV and computer before bed if you can, sometimes that helps. Sleeping with your significant other in the bed, as opposed to sleeping alone, might help also. Goes without saying that few people have insomnia after a good decent proper screw

Fucking will put you to sleep but if your brain is tweeky it won't KEEP you asleep. If your bitch is horny you can fuck her every time you wake up. You'll still be tired the next day but at least you'll have gotten some.

Whoa...I think the phenibut is starting to take its effect...it feels kinda nice. Weird to say, but feels like alcohol dizziness. But not sleep inducing lol. Gonna take another 400mg dose.  hopefully I can get at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep tonight

Eating cannabis every night causes me to sleep well. I found phenibut to be useless for anything.

Do you know how much THC you're eating? I mean, is it like a medical with clear dosing into?

Have you tried any of the things listed, before going for those pills?

Have you tried melatonin? A world of difference between melatonin and sleeping pills.

I am very suprised.. I woke up tonight, but fell back alseep within minutes!

I feel a little foggy, but I just woke up. Also...I feel a 'buzz'. I can't describe it. I feel warm inside and fuzzy.

This stuff works! :aweoverdose: I don't believe it! After such a looooong time. Man. I can't wait til I go to sleep tonight. I can't wait to dream again. So excited. I think I can finally feel rested. It's been so long that I forgot what a full night's sleep felt like.

I don't get phenibut in pills. I get it's purest form in HCL crystalline form with a 400-600mg scooper.
Phenibut is derived from GABA, which occurs naturally in the brain. From what I read from weeks of studying it, is that it works wonders.

I also read that it acts like a benzo, and is susceptible to addiction, tolerance and withdrawal. This isn't something to take daily, but for the most sleepless nights. Only thing is that it takes a while for it to take effect.

I have some melatonin in my cabinet. I haven't used it in a long time. I may consider trying it again tonight. Reason I stopped is because I read an article stating that melatonin Is a hormone and that marijuana raises melatonin levels better than taking melatonin itself. I have not seen any REAL, VALIDATED reports though, just posts/threads/articles on the net. I would like to see it in a study.

Also, I haven't tried pulling the rooster before sleep. haven't thought of that one. Usually I'm so tired/sore I just lay there til I zone out. Will try this too:nyan:

Thanks for the advice

I have a med card with exceptional delivery services. However, I tend not to smoke before sleeping. I have been smoking for years, and although it puts you in the comfortable, relaxed mood, it doesn't help me sleep well. Before, it would knock me out. Now weed affects me differently. Probably because I'm such a pothead :awehigh: I dab a lot. That stuff messes with your tolerance on the long run lol

Exercise and physical exhaustion during the day and at bed time, jacking off, then drinking myself to sleep while watching Firefly.

Sometimes ASMR is helpful for falling asleep. Youtube it. Gotta find the right trigger for you personally.

I make cannabis butter using 8oz of leaf to 1lb of butter, put it into caps. My tolerance goes down when I take them every day. I'm getting really wasted on one cap now. Sometimes waiting till bed time before taking a cap when I'm wanting to function. I so not cannabis. My insomnia was really making my life hell before I figured this out.

Not sleeping sucks, I know how you feel. Sleep is not my best friend and when I do fall asleep I dream like crazy and don't ever seem to feel rested. If I am lucky to not dream one night I feel rested the next day. You should get some weed that is high CBD, that knocks me out and keeps me asleep for the most part. Natural supplements are better then pharmaceuticals. I have taken some before but stopped because the side effects actually kept me awake. Keep with the all natural routine. Over time it will get better.

Tried those melatonin pills yet? For me they work for at least 5-6 good hours of sleep on a bad day, sometimes 8-9 or more. Also the sleep is deeper, nice dreams. Feels
