    #18767228 - 08/28/13 05:12 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

The first one (i am not sure) i guess is Gymnocalycium denudatum, he flowered before 2 months and now it seems like he will do it again..??

The second one, i really have no idea what specie might be..I know for sure he is a tough one!My cats take it down from the garden 4 times till they stop fu#$% with him..Now he have an impressive amount of shoots!!
I had no idea from cacti when i bough it, it was my first cacti ever, and i have it 3 months now, he had plenty of tiny red flowers in his perimeter when i bought him.

Not sure on G. denudatum; going by the spine colouring, it is hinting at Gymnocalycium baldianum.

2nd is Austrocylindropuntia subulata monstrose

My first cacti he end up a monstrose!!I am so happy.
Is it good idea to leave him out in the garden now that comes the winter?
I live in zone 10 and i have lot of humidity, and plenty of rains in winter.

Also you think the first cacti is going to flower again?
I spot something like pre flowers in the centre areoles..

I have a number of what I believe are Austrocylindropuntia subulata which are treated very badly and just live outside with my trich's and they just keep on growing. The cuttings that I got came from a plant that was the size of a large shrub / small tree but I don't think the monstrose gets that big. Mine has nasty spines that seem to have tiny barbs on them. I have had to remove them from my dog before which was interesting.
Maybe if you get the non monstose version it might teach the cat to leave your cacti alone.

Cheers

I have one of those, but it's no where as big as yours. Plus I need to repot it I've just been lazy. I don't know how they do in winter, but I know I water it every week or every other week and it grows fast!

Anyways nice cacti gopener. :jackiechanofapproval:

Nice. I'll have to play the waiting game to see when mine will flower.
