I'm really sorry, but I don't know what you mean. Nevertheless, I'm going to try to answer your question

1. If you're into edible mushrooms, you obviously go looking for edible species (cantharelles, boletus edulis etc. etc.). Once you've found them AND your 100% positive of the ID, you can eat them. Watch out, there are for example some species out there that are edible when cooked, but poisonous when eaten raw, and for example coprinus comatus can be eaten safely, but remember not to drink any alcohol within a week after eating them. So inform yourself on the species your looking for or found.

2. Lots of people here are into psycho-active species, such as psilocybe cubensis. Almost everywhere on the world psychedelic mushrooms can be found growing in the wild. If you're hunting for these, and stumble across them, again, be 100% sure on the ID before you try nibbling them.

3. There are species which are listed in the popular field guides, but of which no information regarding there edibility is available. Don't eat these! Better safe than sorry. That goes for this whole hobby actually, as 'sorry' in this context can mean liver failure and death.

There are some people here who are very good in id-ing nice finds, providing you give them enough information. Exactly what information is needed for an ID, please read the sticky notes and the FAQs.

hmm...i thought u could use any type of mushroom and there was some process to extract the psilocin or whatever it is...
But, u mean there is only certain types that produce right effetcs? and when youve got them u can just eat them?

Ok, so you're apparently new to this whole exciting thing. Welcome

I can't tell you everything about this topic, as it would require several megabytes of plain text  If you're really interested, perform searches and do some serious reading here on the Shroomery, but also on other pages on the 'net.

Here's some short info:
There are a couple of species that produce psilocin and psilocybin. Popular species are psilocybe cubensis (the common psilo mushroom that is sold all over the world, albeit often illegaly), psilocybe semilanceata (liberty caps, most people who hunt for psychedelic mushrooms go for this species, but beware: it's not very easy to identify if you're new to the whole hunting business), psilocybe cyanescens (a very powerful species, occurs in both the States and in Europe) and several other species.
There are however also many species that are lookalikes of psychoactive species, and some of them are very poisonous. So if you found something which could be interesting, be sure to get a 100% sure ID before you eat it. As you're inexperienced in IDing mushrooms, I suggest you buy yourself a mushroom guide and a photocamera, get outside, make long walks through forests and whatnot, and try to identify every mushroom you find. Practice makes perfect. Maybe you'll stumble across something interesting, which you can choose to photograph (detailed photographs of caps, gills and stems and if possible the habitat) and upload the photos, so experienced people here can either confirm or disconfirm your ID.

Don't be hasty. It'll take time for you to learn to find and ID mushrooms. If you're in a hurry, you better try to buy magic mushrooms somewhere or grow them yourself. There's plenty of information about the growing of mushrooms on this site too.

Well, that should get you started. If you have any questions, first try to answer them yourself by browsing through literature (f.e. on the net), and if you can't find an answer, ask your question here.

Good luck, and moreover: have fun!

You're too nice koraks, it's good to have people like you around.

For the new guy:
read all of this :http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23470

And NEVER EVER eat a mushroom that you have not identified with 100% certainty. Mushrooms have the potential to be *very* dangerous. If you eat the wrong mushroom you might die(a slow, very painful death, I might add). Just because a mushroom looks like a picture does not mean you have a positive identification. There are several deadly mushrooms that look almost identical to "active" mushrooms. There are several things to look for when identifying mushrooms. I reccomend you get yourself a good field guide and read read read. Mushrooms Demystified is considered by most to be the bible of mushroom hunting, it would be a good investment.

Be safe! Eating mushrooms you find in the wild is serious business.
