P. Cyanescens ID request.
    #18765028 - 08/27/13 05:29 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:
I found this Patch in a woodsy area that has some human disturbance around. The majority of trees are Pine, but there are another group of smaller trees that were cut down and mulched in to piles.( as you will see in the pictures)I am not sure of the species of these trees, but i know for sure they are not alder. there was moss growing in the mulch.

Gills:
Slightly brown gills.

Stem:
Color is white to off white the texture was smooth but the stem looks fibrous

Cap:
diameter from 1-2 in, texture kind of scratchy but i am guessing that is from lack of rain.]

Spore print color: will post when i get them.

Bruising:
I didn't pick them as I was not expecting to find them and had no means to transport my finds.

Looks like an ? to me... But whatever it is, it's not a p. cyan

Learn how to do a spore print.... Will help weed out the 'maybes' from the 'nope, toss it'
See: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/spore_print.html

Ok... Don't pay attention to me...
