Certain strains growing better than others?

This is SWIM's first attempt at growing. She has followed the pf tek exactly and put the jars to grow mycelia exactly 14 days ago. She used 2 strains: Golden Teacher (7 jars) and Burma (3 jars). As of now only the Golden Teacher shows signs of any growth. In fact, the GT is well on it's way to full colonization, but the Burma jars don't show any single sign of growth at all! There are no signs of contam in any of the jars. What's going on here?
I should also add that she put in 4 inoculation holes and, like I said, while all the GT jars are growing for her, certain inoculation points don't have any growth at all. There's even one jar where only one inoculation point is showing significant and advanced growth while the other three inoculation points show no growth. Could it be growing in the insides of the cake hidden from view?
One last thing? SWIM is growing during the summer months and while the jars are technically in room temperature, there's no way for her to really control the temperature going above 86F on certain really hot days. Is this unhealthy for mycelium growth?

Stop with the SWIM bs, this is a safe place.
Did you shake the spore syringes between jars?
Sometimes spores can take a few weeks to germinate.
Optimal temps are mid 70s throughout the whole grow, but anywhere from 65F-80F is acceptable.
Incubation is outdated/uneeded unless temps in the range stated above cannot be kept.
The inside of the jar is always a few degrees warmer than the outside because the mycellium produces heat..mycellium tends to stall at temps above 86F , and contams thrive.

IME, some varieties grow better at different temps. Recently I had exceptionally fast growth (noc'd to fully colonised 1/2 pint jars in 11 days) with GT and Maz, but at the same ambient temps (~85ºF) the Argentina variety seem to be much slower (no signs of growth by day 4).

That has less to do with the name of the certain variety and more to do with MS crapshoot genetic lottery factor.
