Gotta love living in the country. I'm moving back soon; I'd rather work the fields and deal with religious country folks any day. I bet you shoot often pris. I know I would if I didn't live in the suburbs. It's dreadful here if its not what you're in to.

i haven't yet , i don't have a vehicle but the closest national forest is closer than the closest free shooting range. so a bike ride might be in store. plus the only ammo i could get at shop i got my gun were hollow points, $28 for 20 rounds but i have an order of 150 rounds coming in the mail that was about $90 which i plan to use for practice. but i'm tempted to waste at most 10 rounds of the hollow points on some beer cans if i can't find anyone in town to sell me rounds for a $1 or less.
i am trained for concealed carry, i think the next thing i spend on guns will be for my permit. but before i am permitted, how should carry my gun on my bicycle? i want to just carry it in a bag, i don't really want everyone to know i have a gun. so if i keep my ammo (loaded mags) in separate parts of my bag, or in my pants pocket is that legal? i guess i can just buy a holster for my hip and open carry since i'll just be out of town for all but a 5 minute ride...

with a small gun like that,if you hold it weak wristed it could easily jam on you.cant wait to hear about the recoil on that compact 45.and goddamn that's highway robbery $28 for 20 self defence bullet?thats a rip.and besides with a giant bullet like a 230 grain 45 you really don't need HP.the big ass bullet will have plenty of knock down power.next time just get yerself some regular 230 grain roundball for way cheaper.you should be able to get a box of 50 for around 15-16 bux, jacketed roundball

if i can that would be awesome, cheapest i found was 50 for $25 before shipping. you know a website selling rounds that cheap? i'll look around town, i really want to shoot today.
also i have shot a compact .45 before and i am well aware of the recoil i'm not sure exactly what gun it was but i don't think it was much bigger

have you checked WM?i saw a brick(100 bullets) of Winchester jacketed round ball there for like 30 some odd dollars 45 can be expensive AF tho like I said just stick to a good well functioning accurate round ball.the 230 grain fatty has plenty of knock down power without getting all fancy with the projectile.thats why GIs love the 45 in combat.it killed the enemy.HP are not allowed through Geneva conventions in the US military, all bullets are jacketed non HP(other than tracers of course)

As long as he's not shooting into the forests Id say its fine.
You just wouldn't wanna accidently shoot a backpacker.

no i would be shooting into a hill of course so i can see them end up in the ground.
i'm really not sure how i can carry my gun on my bicycle, since i don't have a holster i was thinking i would just carry in my bag unloaded... but since i'm not sure its probably best to go buy a holster so it is visible while traveling by bike.

In my state it must be unloaded when traveling anyway. (Pretty sure)
I would just make sure it's all tightly secure and unloaded in your bag.

yea we can have a loaded gun in the car in colorado, just check the law. specifically says you can't carry concealed on your person, which i assume includes a backpack on a bicycle... going to buy a holster to stay law abiding, i need to ear protection anyway. idk why i didn't pick that stuff up while i went out and got ammo at the pawn...
