Depression

Heres a little backround: I am currently a freshman engineering student. I go to school in florida and I live in new york. Different places, far away. I was an average high school student with average grades, knew tons of people. I smoked ciggarettes, weed, did LSD, mushrooms, MDMA twice over the summer. I do none of those now (abruptly stopped) except mushroom use every once and a while (low doses.)
I've been here for about a week now. I am getting along with my room mate, meeting a few new people. There are very few girls here most of which are taken. I don't have my car down here with me so when I want to go somewhere it has to be close by and I have to longboard there.
I feel myself slowly slipping into depression. It really hit me today. It's not that i'm homesick. I definitely can say I miss WHERE I live, and all my old friends. The workload is not too much for me to handle either.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I feel really shitty.

Quit sulking and go outside. Exercise can do wonders.

Don't tell yourself you're depressed. You're just in 'Oh fuck this is a new place' mode, you've got a whole semester ahead of you. There are girls, go find them. There is fun, go find it.

You are just going through withdrawal from the insane world that you knew back home.
Turn off the television, and stop watching any programs or news that have too much negativity or drama in them.
Go out and hook up with some of those pretty college girls and see if you can entice a couple to come back to your room for a good old fashion three some.
Remember to practice safe sex, and if you don't want to take the risk of them getting pregnant, get them to swallow or stick it in their bum.
Enjoy your youth, depression is like the rain, some days it rains but most days it's sunny.
Plus...remember...in college you have to pace yourself, even though you think that you can, you just can't fuck all the girls....there are just too many of em.

Theres nothing to do. Ive had entire school YEARS like that. Where you are just depressed, hating the bullcrap classes, no girlfriend, no car, etc. etc.
Wanna know what you do? Ride it out you are a freshmen. Your attitude, confidence, intelligence, life experience.....etc. etc. is gonna change so much as you go through college. There is literally nothing you can do but suck it up and keep walking forward. Sorry, but if you are man enough to do it I promise it DOES get better. Im now 1 year away from graduation, have a beautiful girlfriend, a handsome son, have seen all kinds of cool places, met all kinds of cool people, had some funny and interesting side jobs, its part of the journey.
