Haven't got the message, can't hang up the phone...

Curious about (a) how addictive people find mushrooms, (b) dosing frequencies, (c)do they interfere with the rest of your life, and/or (d) do you think they're trying to tell you something but you can't quit figure it out?
For me, personally, the answers are (a) not at all, (b) anywhere from occasional (like every several months or more) down to daily (3-5 days/week for weeks on end), (c) no, except sometimes they kind of are my life , (d) the question makes no sense. I ask it because a lot of people parrot the "got the message? hang up the phone." crap as if it meant something, as if there was something you were supposed to learn from all this or from these drugs, which is complete bullshit. They are what they are, if you treat them with respect they'll do the same, and you'll learn more things than you ever imagined.
Have at it.

Not addictive. I've done em about 8 times total since April. They do not interfere with my life. I dont think they are trying to tell my anything, but they help me realize things about myself.

a. not at all b. months apart to weeks apart during winter maybe weekly but not for more than 3 weeks c. agree with you, they don't interfere. they are part of my life. (magic and non magic!) d. they tell me to be more spiritual and more connected with the earth. They tell me to be more environmentally conscious, and to respect the earth and my own body.

a. Not addictive, but they can definitely make you want to do more; not in an addictive way though. b. I used to trip weekly, but I stopped this year. I haven't tripped on shrooms at all this year. c. They don't interfere with my life, but they definitely changed my life. (whether they changed me for the better or not is debatable) d. Sure they can feel magical, but logically they don't tell you anything. However, you may get your ass served to you with a side of self realizations on a silver platter.

Not addictive Depends.... Weekly or yearly or Have helped me in many ways... Still, have several college degrees, house, good job, wife, family
Magic is as magic does.... Depends on why you take them...
How much.... Purpose.... Set and setting
Just my 2 cents

1. Anything can be addictive, so yes. 2. First time trying shrooms was Jul 20 last month, dosed 6 times. 3. When I did 3 times in a week yes. 4. They're very spiritual for me, I don't do it to get Fucked up with friends. I prefer it alone.

A) I wouldn't call mushrooms addictive, but I think people can become obsessive over them. b)Frequency varies tremendously... I usually like to eat them fresh, so it mainly depends on the weather outside. A day or two after a rain, I'll probably find some fresh. C)I'd say that they interfere with my life. I still haven't decided if I like the interference or not. D)"Eat me".... So I say, "ok!"

Hey bud! To follow the trend i'll answer the questions you asked in the same format you've asked them.
(a) addictive? For myself, they're definitely not habit forming, but it's an experience i want to repeat shortly after a glowing experience. I won't do them alone, so maybe that would be a different story if I was open to that possibility. Mushrooms for me have always been a bonding experience and I find comfort in tripping with others. (b) dosing frequencies? Once a month with friends at special occasions. However, I'm ashamed to say that i don't usually take the mushrooms head on, and will usually drop with some MDMA. I've been never been let down and last weekend I went camping with some friends... WHAT A TRIP! (c)Interfere with life? I'm sure they do to a certain extent. Mushrooms have always showed me the futility of certain things in life. I stand appart from my work peers because of my outlook on life and to a certain extent, I feel a bit removed. Everyone seems so darn focused on the wrong things, it's almost sickening.

1. Not addictive. 2. At least twice a year, no more than twelve times a year. 3. They don't interfere with my life, the enhance it. 4. They give me answers to whatever I'm looking for at any given moment. There is NO single message but an infinite amount of information to be gained. Psychedelics are just like life and it will take an eternity to gather everything that they have to teach us because like life, they're always changing, morphing, growing, expanding and so on.

I would call them highly addictive actually. Seen too many people coming back over and over again under the false illusion of personal growth. Now I'm not one that believes you can't have beneficial experiences, but when your frequency of tripping increases because the afterglow ldoesnt last anymore that's not personal growth, it's chasing the dragon in its own way. I guess what I'm saying is they seem to be a little insidious. "so profound it can't be wrong to do it a lot!" The rabbit holes infinitely deep and you don't get any closer to figuring anything out by frequent and heavier doses
My frequency is 1-2 times a month though I'm trying to push it back to once a month or less
They don't interfere too much but they have become a topic of obsession in my world
Nah I got the message. Subsequent trips are just reminders

Not addictive at all
Do them ~2 times a year but maybe more when i have my own supply.
They dont interfere with my life. I plan trips weeks or months in advance.
They make me appreciate all the good things I have in my life. That happy state of mind lasts weeks. I enjoy the days or weeks after as much as the trip itself.

Psychs have an anti addiction element for me.
Ill buy them, plan on doing them, and ill end up delaying it for months and months before I build up the testicles to do it.
Do I think they're telling me something, as an autonomous entity? No.
Do I think the experience can transform the user's perception towards 'reality' for the better? Yes.
