Legalize California!!!

If you haven't heard, California is one of the next states to propose a legalization of Cannabis bill this January!
The proposal is the best I have seen yet, it addresses all the drawbacks of Colorado and Washington's legislature and works them out quite nicely. It seeks to Re-Legalize Cannabis/Hemp for recreational, medicinal, and industrial use 100%!
California is overdue for legalization, the reason it didn't pass last time was due to a lack of signatures to get it to the ballot. This year will be different. Right now you can sign up to be a part of this legendary initiative. Signature collection will begin in October, so sign up now!
Even if you aren't a California resident, I believe the passing of this bill would be monumental in the war against Cannabis. It will set an intelligent president that is currently lacking in previous legislation and hopefully other states will follow suit.
If you live in California, sign up! If you know someone there, tell them to sign up! If neither, spread the word any way you can to reach those who can affect change!

Arizona is up for ballot in 2014, so long as the signatures are finished by then.

The state of California has been illegal for far too long. I want to be able to live in CA without facing demonetization, criminalization, and the penis system. Why did they have to make it illegal to California?

Penalties are much lower than other states. However the more states that push for full legalization the better maybe it will force the feds to finally pull there heads out of their asses.

Your feds not only have their heads in their asses, they have their asses in their heads simultaneously. Creating an ass-head singularity from which a law may spew out on occasion.

The last Cali legalization bill failed by like 52 to 48. SO FUCKING CLOSE
tons of growers were voting NO because it would hurt their profits.
Let's hope this one goes through, I'm gonna get everyone I know to vote for this shit

you Americans enjoy too many freedoms already, this simply cannot be allowed to happen, too long has your country danced naked with the burning flag of liberty, soon we shall be shackling your extroverted behavior to the rock of dominion using the chain of shame.
that aside, i wish you well in this botanically recreational affair.

I think the funds to run a legalization campaign would be better spent during a presidential election year. WAY more young people turn out to vote during presidential election years. Still though probably has a decent shot, but seems like a poor gamble to me.

The problem with legalization campaigns in California is that for the price of one campaign in California you could have campaigns in 3 or 4 other states, and you'd face less competition from prohibition groups. Don't get me wrong, it needs to happen, but if you look at the logistical aspects of running a legalization campaign, it makes more sense to devote that money to smaller states.
It'd be better to run 3 separate campaigns in Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona rather than one massive campaign in California. The amount of money it cost to win in Washington and Colorado was a tiny fraction of the amount that it took to fail in California last time.
