Can land owners buy chemicals to kill shrooms?

Basically, my cover was blown by three gypo's in a van, and one was saying "Get out of here mate or i'm going to let the sniffer dog out" then another one got out, and said.. "You counting your money, it's private land" and he was saying "Come here, I want to talk to you" I know the early bird gets the worm, but my problem is.. do land owners (If they were the land owners and not just scrap metal thieves) have a chemical they can buy to kill shrooms?

I've heard there are anti-fungal foods they can feed the cattle to prevent spores from germinating in their manure, but I'm not too familiar with raising cattle. I will say I haven't come across a pasture yet that I couldn't find at least a few mushrooms growing somewhere during the rainy season.

Yes they have that but I've never heard of anything someone would put on there land to kill them. It would cost a fortune for no gain at all.

This is why you ask permission before going onto their land.

I took a trip down to Louisiana many years back for shroom hunting and got threatened by a guy in a pickup truck with a gun. I had binoculars with me and was scouring fields and I thought I was on a public gravel road but I may have been on a private drive. This was back about 1992 and was looking to make spore prints to grow shrooms. Wasn't successful at growing then. Harder to grow when all you got is the Mushroom cultivator book. All I ended up was overly moist rye grain jars full of bacteria.
-------------------- A bit expensive but the largest clear tote I've found. Great if you want a large SGFC that can easily do both trays and cakes. If you decide to go all out on a SGFC, be sure to get coarse perlite. It keeps it cleaner and allows better FAE and humidity.

Whilst I don't want to fatten up any trolls I would add that near where I live the local council actually attempted to "spray" fields to kill the liberty caps...
