isn't it more interesting to just do it, first hand? i don't get it.

Can you elaborate on that?

ethics are boundless. everyone's got a different point of view and no one is gonna sum it up in any sorta of relevant context, lest one is going to school for it... but then it's only relevant to the meager extent that one will allow it to copulate with the understanding that one  has already. it's like "hey i went to school and learnt a bunch of shit" and then the next day "well, hey i need to school again, because everything has been made irrelevant again." just because you follow an ethical guideline or code, doesn't ever mean you've cemented any sort of knowledge on the subject, because you're already bound the principles of how you learnt said concepts of ethics to begin with.

it's continual learning process in which ethics are "amounted and compared to" each other in never ending discourse. i guess to go to school for study in this is awesome, but it's not like the subject of "ethics" will ever reach a reasonable conclusion of it's own accord.

Glad to hear you are having an awesome experience as well  I think it's pretty difficult to not actually like college, I mean shit, how can you not like learning about what you are passionate about?

College is going fucking great, Going into my second year and loving it; Only taking part time classes right now, but this full time diploma program I'll be going into in 2014 looks epic :likeaboss:

Well yeah. It wouldn't meet that reasonable conclusion because everyone is different. There is no one set way to do things.

Take a step back and realize that you have the rest of your life to party.  If you fuck up any of these 4 years you will regret it.

By the way..study, study, study. Only 10% of students graduate on time. 75% of freshman will not graduate. I've fell victim to the party lifestyle for a long time

If anything fucks me over, it'll be the snowboard season. I'm fine saying no to a party if I've got work to do, but if it's a powder day... Oh boy.

What an awesome fucking place. A learning institution where thousands of kids could learn exactly what they want and do exactly what they want. You're out for your own self and there is NOTHING stopping you from doing anything in the world (hyperbole, you get it though...).

I didn't really know what I was going into, but I decided to be make the absolute best of it and I realize, after 3 days of awesomeness that I have an AMAZING 4 years (and beyond) ahead of me.

How are you all liking college?

Thats awesome you are in school. Be grateful to be there, I know I am. Its taking forever :bored: but only one.....more.....year.....left

It gets kinda tiring after awhile. I'm about to start my fifth and final year. I'm stoked to get serious, study what I want, and give her one last hurrah. Now that I am well acquainted with everyone on campus, this year is gonna be a blast.

I took a few years off after high school but now I'm about ready to hop on the collegiate bandwagon :failboat: But seriously, I almost did it when I was 18 but it just felt wrong, I don't know. I'm glad I didn't either because I wasn't in the right mindset and probably would've done bad/worse than I would now. These days I find myself pretty fucking bored of the same old, and you know working in a warehouse will teach you quick that you want an education. You don't wanna be 55 breaking your back for some d-bag at the top who will throw you out when they can because you're an expendable worker in today's America. I see people like that everday at work who have done it their whole lives, working in warehouse after warehouse. Fuck that. Fuck blue collar. You gotta commit to this shit when you do it, do it right, don't waste your fuckin money. I'm glad your having a good time OP, hope it works out the same when I find myself in the same position

I had fun in Community college, but didn't really go to my classes very regularly or do my assignments. I'm just not cut out for that kind of shit. I can do martial arts training that most people could not endure, but when it comes to academic education, I'm just not into the process. I enjoy learning on my own, but school just never really worked for me.

I went to Community College for two years commuting there because my High School grades weren't high enough to get me into a University. I had a tendency to generally not care about anything I was learning throughout both years.

I went through periods of going to class really stoned and just spacing out the entire time.

I also went through a period of just sleeping in the parking lot instead of actually going to class.

I can't go back next semester because my GPA is too low.

That was my college experience.

lol

I'm in your old shoes at the moment kind Of haha.
Start community college tomorow,  grades weren't great in high school, and me and a friend have the same first class at 11. We have some bubble hash for wake and baking :rasta:

To be honest, i'm not really sure what I want to do with it. I'm just interested in philosophy.

I've always enjoyed writing a lot, so my real goal is to get some books published as a source of income someday. I wouldn't mind being a teacher someday either. A combination of the two would be grand :psychsplit:
