very important question

Lets say someone was preparing to pasteurize straw/dung and just plain dung in anothe rpot. Lets say that this person stupidly forgot to check for a meat/candy thermometer until everything was on the stove heating up, and they had to abandon it. would it hurt for it to sit, in the pillowcase under water, for 2 total days before it is pasteurized? thanks!

shouldn't hurt the straw, but I don't know about the dung, 2 days sounds a little long.

Ok, I was mainly wondering if any contams would grow that the pasteurization process wouldn't terminate.  I think that the dung has only been soaking less than 23 hours total (when I can continue), the straw should be fine I was thinking to, just get more poo absorbed into it :smile:
