Question about lids/filters.

Hello everyone, I have been inactive for a while. Tried to start up a batch and my lids melted in the PC. So i have a question, If anyone could show me a link to lids i could purchase that have the injection port and filter already installed or could someone point me in the direction of instructions to make them?
Another question, How long can spores last in a syringe inside my room at normal temperatures.
Thanks ahead for all the responses.

Totally wrong forum to post this in. Make your own lids, it's really easy and spores last a long time.

Self Healing Lid Tek If you are inoculating with ms syringes, just make four holes in the lid and inject through them. The layer of dry vermiculite will keep contaminations out. Self healing injection ports aren't necessary. Keep the spores in a dark, cool place, like a dresser drawer and they will last longer. A refrigerator is the ideal location to store your syringes though. If you do this they could last a year or more, light and heat are your enemy in this sense.

A lid like this is what you want! I use synthetic filter discs and rubber injection ports. I prefer using plastic autoclaveable lids to be honest but either way you cant really go wrong with these! You will also need to drill in some holes and stick the discs and ports down using some heat resistant silicone!
The jar below is my absolute favorite because this heavy duty plastic doesn't rust nor shatter! You might have to shop round to find them in your own country, look for science supply websites and be sure to ask about the melting point of the plastic!
If somethings worth doing its worth doing right, right?

This thread was moved from The Psychedelic Experience.
Reason: Better suited here.

Ok cool, my syringes are in my dresser. But I don't use the PF tek when I inoculate I'm using RR's Rye tek, and Damion's Bulk tek. You're speaking of the lids from the regular mason jars?
Also @wolf8312 how much do those jar's usually run you, I'm all about doing it right so i might just get those.
Thank you again guys.

Sorry for the late reply dude!
They cost me the equivalent of about 2 English pounds for each one! But like I say you'll have to see if you can find them in your own area as the cost could be much higher for you if you live in an expensive country! Just have a nose around online I'm sure you can find them where you live too!

Best recommendation one can give on this topic. For LC, use high-temperature silicone to seal the injection port.
