CT POSSIBLE GYMNOPILUS AND LBM I.D.

Habitat: Growing out of a fallen rotting log
Gills: Gym gills are completely covered by veil when they are very young, as they mature the veil turns into a ring around the stem, lbm gills have a light violet dusting
Stem: Gym stem is thick and very fibrous while the lbm has a thin, grey stem.
Cap: Gym cap is yellow but the bigger they were the more they Turned orange Convex cap, but the bigger they were the more it flattened out
Spore print color: Gym spores are rusty reddish brown, not that I took a spore print, but am going off of what was all over fingers
Bruising: Nothing noticeable but that could have been due to the actual color covering it up lbm is too small to bruise
Other information: The gyms smell sanitized almost like soap, but that could be because I want it to be active and know that they smell like soap but I'm pretty sure, The lbms were mostly Sun dried in the picture so the stems turned into a wierd color if you can see it. It had not rained in a few days, and the lbms you see growing out of the log do not represent what the actual mushroom looks like, only to show the habitat. They are not that small either, my guess is they were just starting to grow and then dried up, so again all of the pictures of the lbms are much smaller than they would be at maturity. The only reason I picked them was because I noticed a violet tinge in the veils. C'mon guys lets get these identified! Pics:

It definitely "bled" on me however I noticed almost a stripe going through the cap that isn't on those mycenas but I'm assuming they're closely related

Take note of the high annular zone and the notched gills.

Look at the baby mushrooms growing inside the log. It hadn't rained in a while so I think that the ones I picked (not the ones in the log) had actually started to rot. I had been there the day before and they were much lighter. I thought originally it was a lute but I have no idea.

I bet if you go back in a couple of days those will be more mature. They will be easier to identify.

Really?!?! Are you sure??? That would be fucking AMAZING so it's safe to eat??? This log is in my backyard so will I have a consistent source? What you see growing in and on the log I did not pick to encourage reproduction so I am really exited

Lol this is great news. I don't even know how to describe this. About my other questions, will I be able to come back for more when it rains? And I heard the older the weaker, should I go back and take the pins in the log? Idk I just really don't want to eat wild mushrooms for nothing, poisonous or not.

Yeah, let TV pins mature to the size of the one you picked. Dry that one out before the bugs that are in it eat everything.
