Whats up with this? It has bark hairs sticking out of the two tufts like you see on the buds. Also what would one call this growth pattern?
That's not a straight A. asterias, is it? It seems to be crossed with one of those weird cultivars. No idea as to what's going on with it, but it looks promising.

Sweet stuff Ferrel gonna be fun watching these over the summer.
LS I moved my lights up a couple inches and the tender things seem to be growing better and greener.
2 grafts that haven't done anything the last six months besides plump up a little seem to have sorted out their vascular differences and started going. I thought they were duds.
Noticed some thrips running around and dusted everything with DE. So pix after I wash it off.
I wish I knew the parents of that one. I was thinking fukuryu and kiko maybe? I have no clue. It was a mixed bag of seeds.

It may be kikko but kinda early to tell but it is fukuryu. I like asterias cultivators more than myriostigma but they both look awesome. I want some asterias blue/violet flower seeds There are new cultivators every few weeks. This community should start to work on lopho cultivators... trichocereus cultivators are becoming more common thanks to some people.

Boom! We have a Lophophora quickest to flower winner.
Cute freaks too.
I updated the Winner Post. You have 62 days to challenge Mostly_Harmless for quickest to flower Lophophora.
We'll do the "best" category judging in approximately 3 months.

I'd update some pictures but there hasn't really been anything to show off besides a couple turbini fruits. Been waiting for the weather to stabilize and for a day or 2 to put the greenhouse up. Would like to go through and take pix when I move them.

I've had a few lophs flowering away now, but they weren't grafted for the competition. Just a mass grafting for a project...
My albino fireworks has had some trouble. The stock kept pushing out new shoots, turns out due to a bit of rot set in at the connection, so it has been regrafted to a myrtle, but I don't have much hope!

Awesome sauce guys!
Not sure if this is dead now or what. But here is my lot of stuff.
Starting to degraft some.
The one myrio defrafted into peat won't be there for long. Just keeping it that mix till the pereskiopsis stock goes away. They all been outside for a week now. It looks like its getting more color to the new growth. Not sure if its the Koyo trait or sunburn. But you can kinda see it starting in the photo.

Also got 4 seeds from the turbini. Soon to go full circle.
