Dear Anne As has been stated the comp is not about who can grow the biggest and fastest Loph. If you read the rules you will find that there is many classifications. Here is the link Grafting comp rulesso you can have a read and just maybe you will understand what this comp is all about.
One day you might work out how to get one of your lime green elongated Lophs to flower.
Cheers Got

Oh man. You guys...
Let's just keep this thread about the competition. I'll deal with Anne and from now on I would suggest people just notify a mod if the post is off topic or can resist the bait and post nicely. If this can't be done I will have no choice but to dish out points and delete off topic posts and their replies.
Ok, Anne. I'm going to ask you nicely to stop posting off topic posts. This includes demands of rulers and also the insertion of pictures unrelated to the competition. As you might already know, they're off topic and starting to upset the locals. You chose not to enter so you're just a spectator. Kick back, relax and watch.

I'm not sure, but I think their point was misconstrued. I actually thought it was a good idea to include the size of my grafts just to add an extra layer of visability, if you will. Now, maybe along in to the whole ordeal it got changed but Anne's original post isn't directed at any specific portion of the competition, but just as another piece of information. Regardless, I will be adding the size of the graft with my "journal". Namaste

Quote from the first line of Anne's post straight after the ruler post.Quote:
id be most interested in seeing a ruler update from goonthen
I would normally post all of my updates with an object for size comparison but I could see this coming before the comp actually started so I made a decision not to as I didn't want this to turn into a mine is bigger than yours bitch session.

in the interest of not scaring the " locals" im out.........
ill just start a seperate thread at some point, for those interested in the hyper grow.
it wasnt the intent to outclass the contest. the intent, was to juice it up with some serious growing. point has been made.
ive been rather polite in this thread, and specifically excluded my self for fairness.
i find it amazing, that instead of "amping the grow", its a game of "throw out the amped grow".
i expect the fungi peeps to hate advanced grow teks, sorta shocked the cacti peeps feel that way.
next contest.... ill just get seeds, and go straight to my aerophora tek.
for those who insist on rules. your grow reflects it. im not big on technicalities and my grow reflects that. im comfortable with it.
as far as rulers and scale objects? im not afraid of it. i wonder why anyone would be.
best of luck, im out. all the luv.

There's a lot of butt-hurt and weird attitude in that post. I love your work but you need to chill. I know you got a bit of hate but you're handling it poorly.
And as pointed out more than once, the contest is "Quickest to Flower". You can use your aerohydrospaceageofthenewage-tek if you want, but the objective is still to get the graft to flower first.
You should start your own thread for your grafting teks as they are quite interesting. I bet it'd be popular.

I planned on updating a third time but there hasn't been enough of a change since my last one so I'll wait a bit longer. Colder temps have slowed things down a bit here so I may move these guys indoors for a while.

The first of the Ario's is a kotschoubeyanus then there is three furfuraceus and the last two are fissuratus I have know idea why it is so woolley but it did grow faster than the others to the point that it split in a couple of places.
