Just did 9 more grafts. Think I'm just about tapped out on the grafting. Might do a few more at some point.  I'll start to get my ducks in a row the next couple weeks.:gethigh:

Here everything has pretty much slowed down to a halt. I decided against purchasing lights and heating because I'm away from home most of the time, so they are just inching along on a windowsill.

Turbinicarpus rioverdensis

Trichocereus chiloensis and Cereus aethiops

Astro multigraft

A. myriostigma KIKKO nudum

Ariocarpus lloydii & A. kotchubeyanus

Random Astro

This was supposed to be an Astrophytum hybrid, but it now seems to be a Coryphantha of some kind.

Nice I like how the turbini has feathery snowflake radial spines.  I think I have a couple Kikkos in the mix too.  One of my weird slow starts is either forming a double head or cristata not sure yet though just noticed it.  :strokebeard:

Starting to explode yal! I got new pots in the mail last week so decided to transplant my grafts. I wonder how much that set me back?  Definitely starting to burst but not as much as I'm seeing in other photos.  Got better razors so I hope for better unions on more of my grafts.  Double edge razors are way sharper and thinner then the scalpel blades I have a been using. I hope for less bruising/squishing and flatter cleaner unions.

:awesome: That astro multigraft is going to look amazing!

I got some nice colours coming through on these, the yellow one has a hint of pink now.

If those Astrophytum stay that color, they'll look amazing once they get larger!

Neat! When it first started I was thinking and hoping crest. Right now it reminds me of some sort of alien worm.  But two heads are better then one right?

jeez...mine look nothing like your guys's's's's.  mine look the same as the day i grafted them.  the ones that survived that is.  i think 3 remain.  perhaps 2.  i actually had to kill 2 of them because i needed the stock to graft this variegated loph to that had started to rot.

meh.

i still have my other seedlings though...i reckon i should get back to grafting.

hope the variegated loph is doing good.  This is the first time I'm grafting with seed honestly.  Most grafts I have done was to save or propagate things.  Thinking about getting some different stocks to experiment with.  I got a bunch of trichocereus hybrids but would like to try some other things like local opuntia and Harrisia jusberti.

Just grafted 9 lophs. The top 5 are just willy and the bottom 4 are willy "texana". Each group has 1 potentially variegated plant.

It's always nice to see them all wrapped in plastic. Hopefully you guys have gotten good results using cling film. I still haven't had one failed graft since employing this method. A few partial connections but all have grown.

i had to explain to my lab rats what the plastic was the other day.
when they saw it, they were perplexed.
since i use super glue, they've never seen em wrapped like that.
