I made a couple more grafts a few days ago, though I'm not sure if any took. I only have one graft from my first set of grafts that's still going. Just reddened up, and it's starting to go back to green now.

I also sowed a few more seeds that failed to germinate their first time (from several months ago), and am hoping they pop this time. There were a few williamsii, a few fricii, and maybe some others I forgot about.

Starting to explode yal! I got new pots in the mail last week so decided to transplant my grafts. I wonder how much that set me back?  Definitely starting to burst but not as much as I'm seeing in other photos.  Got better razors so I hope for better unions on more of my grafts.  Double edge razors are way sharper and thinner then the scalpel blades I have a been using. I hope for less bruising/squishing and flatter cleaner unions.

Whys that?
Nice pereskiopsis as always Anne.
I'm curious as to how those fert agar grafts are going to do. Do you have to change it out for new agar at some point?

I try to refrain from posting more.  But I just might add some of the new kids tonight.  Most are at that ready to pop stage. Plumped up and just starting to push areoles out.  Debating on regrafting some of the larger ones to trichocereus

Yeah. Post pics of the little guys.
My rows of seeds are popping up too. Might have some variegated ones, but still too early to tell.

I also have a very weird opuntia seedling. Usually they have 2 seed leaves or occasionally 3. This one has 4 and they are in an odd place and the 2 extras are very small. I will see if I can post pics, but they will probably be too blurry.

Update:
Okay. I can't get a good picture of the opuntia seedling. But here are some updates. Earlier today I sowed 23 L. Koehresii seeds from one of my own plants.

I also have some pictures of the seed row lophs. Both look good.
L. willy...

And L. willy var. texana.

think of me as a pace car in the indy graft 500.

those particular ones arent on fert agar gel.
those are straight hydro.

im not showing the gel ones ATM.

amazing contest though.
has to be one of the biggest OMC graft outs ever!

The sowing window closes in a little under 12 hours. Any last minute contestants and current contestants should sow any seed they want to before 12:00 PM UTC Nov 12 (Today).

It's about time for second updates if you sowed at the start of the contest and you have posted one already.

We'll try to get the list of contestants updated shortly.
