I liked the first one a lot, especially the one where those dudes take the girls back to the room to fuck and crazy shit starts happening. I couldn't find V/H/S/2 when it first came out but looks like it's up on some torrent trackers so I'ma download it and peep that shit!

I'm a really avid horror fan but Japanese horror for me puts too much emphasis on atmosphere and stuff which doesn't do anything for me. I've never seen an original Japanese version of an American remake that didn't bore me to death. But I usually enjoy the American versions of them.

I'm downloading that shit right now gottanother 8 minutes 720p takes a little longer. Which is ironic considering I'm downloading a movie in 720p that has to do with VHS tapes.

Haven't seen that one.
V/H/S/2 was pretty badass I thought the Alien Abduction one was kinda lame that's just me though. I couldn't figure out the cuts where one minute someone's caught and the next they're off hiding somewhere. Confusing as fuck.
I liked the first one watching this chick

rip off her clothes out of nowhere while there was a creepy old fat man in tighty whities watching. Kinky bitch!

I've been planning on checking some of Bollywoods most notable horror flicks, anyone seen Veerana?
On a side note, this might be

Quote:
A group of friends along with members of the Russian mafia get stuck on a remote island off the coast of Goa, when new drugs at a rave party are consumed by the guests, turning them into zombies. (108 mins.)
Director: Krishna D.K., Raj Nidimo
I really need to see this

VHS does not have a defined resolution in the digital sense; some very heated discussions on the nature of defining resolution can be found using Google. As recently as last week there was a thread that referenced many good sites on the topic. Suffice to say that any site that concludes 352x240 is VHS resolution (or that misses the fact that Video Cassette Recorder or VCR is not a format, but an abbreviation for a mechanical device) fails to meet the 'good' criteria.
--
If you want to capture a VHS tape and get the full image quality, then you should capture at 720(or 640)x480. You could try using a lower horz. resolution such as 480 or 352 if you want to minimize bandwidth and still not lose much image detail. But if you lower your vert res to 240 then you will be tossing out half the vertical and temporal resolution.

VHS one was good but I thought that VHS2 sucked in comparison. It seemed like a compilation of videos made for a high school TV production class IMO.

Clearly vhs is much less detailed than a 1280x720 video would be.
