yer cakes still sinkin in the perlite?? you probably have too much water in there...drain some out and let the cakes sit on the lids to seperate them from the perlite...the cakes shouldn't sink after that...

the perlite should be moist not wet...if water pools in the corner when you tilt the container there's too much water...dump that excess water out...

(it's weird how i can understand sentence fragments and run-ons :nut:
