Dual SGFC. First grow.

I started this thread because I had a couple questions about my SGFC's but I thought I'd morph it into (yes, another) newbie grow log, since I feel I've already posted too many newbie questions in the cultivation forum and there's no point in flooding the forum with another "Newbie Grow Log" post.
I will update with pictures as my grow progresses.
I apologize if the images are too large, I'm using a 36" TV for my computer screen so they might be gigantic with a lower screen resolution.
I need some advice on my fruiting setup, I plan to use 2 55-qt Sterlite's for my SGFC's.

The SGFC's will be this close to each other where I plan to put them for fruiting and I was thinking I would hang the 6500k bulb in between the two.
Is this enough space between FC's and is the light bulb too close to the FC's? I also was pondering whether or not I should get two more light bulbs to place on the outsides of the FC's with one remaining in the middle. Perhaps that idea would be lighting overkill, I just feel like my cakes will only fruit on the side with the light and be bare on the other side if I were to use 1 bulb.
Any suggestions?

Go get the 110 qt all clear sterilite tub and just run one tub instead of 2. It is better to have a clear lid and running one tub instead of 2 is a win in my book. A lot of people including myself has used that tub with much success

Since you don't have clear lids, I'd run with the three bulb idea.

Great advice, thank you guys. Hmmmm I'm on schedule to dunk tomorrow so I couldn't order the 110qt online, you think Home Depot or Lowes would have the exact tub your referring too?
If I can't find that 110qt I'm going to end up trying the 3 bulb idea.

I dunno if it affects it too much but those bulbs while being fluorescent still put out some heat. Might throw off your humidity if it's that close? Then again I'm paranoid.

No your absolutely right, that's why I was worried the bulb would be to close to the SGFC's. Wouldn't want it to heat them up too much. I've only ran the bulb for a couple minutes to check it worked and that thing gets hot quick.

The opaque lid and transparent tub will provide more than enough light, no problem.
I would use them as is.
A smaller tub will hold conditions better than a large one.
Just use a little CFL bulb in a regular lamp. 6500k spectrum. Or if you have a ceiling fixture, just use that.

Got the 6500k bulb, I was planning on just hanging it from an extension cord like this:

Do you think that would work Frank?

Personally I really like having a clear lid. I can look down in there and that makes me happy. I would also much prefer to run one 110 qt sgfc than 2 smaller ones. I had good luck with mine and I have seen others have good luck as well. You have already bought and made the tubs and if Frank says they will work fine I would trust his judgement. He has never steered me wrong before.
As for the lighting fixture... Lowes, walmart, and several other hardware stores sell these little silver work lights that work great. They can be hung from the ceiling or clamped onto something. You can use regular cfl bulbs in them. They are around $6

UPDATE:
I used these toothpicks with tallys so I knew which cake was which while dunking.
Funny looking growth off of one of the cakes. I removed all pins larger than 3/8".
6 cakes floatin' about their business.
Pins came out to 10.85 grams wet.

I chose to pick the pins instead of leaving them on for the dunk and roll. It'll be fun to feed them to my dog.
^^ That was a joke.

Should have left the pins on. They would have grown to full size shrooms but since you have already done it go ahead and eat them all and report back to me with results

I just figured they might get rotten from sitting in water for 24 hours. Or they might fall off or something along those lines. It's only a gram dry so I'm going to hold off until I have actual fruits. I haven't shroomed in 3 years so I know that 1g would effect me but I just want to make my first trip in 3 years a good one.

Those toothpicks were pretty clever. Can't believe I didn't think of that when I dunked mine haha. Will keep it in mind for next time. =)

UPDATE:
6 Am BRF cakes birthed into SGFC with 4.75" of perlite.

Right now I'm maintaining 94% humidity and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
6500k bulb is on a 12/12 timer. Now just misting and fanning all the way to mushroom land!11!!!1one!1
Thought? Suggestions?

They'll be getting tons of light even if you move that lamp overhead.
Looks good!
