The U.S.A 4

Back when I was a kid, maybe between 6 to 15 years olds, I used to think that the USA was the shit. You guys had everything, you were the coolest guys on the planet. You had the most money, the biggest armies, the best laws, the respect, the influence. I was looking up to you guys and I wishing Canada was as awesome as you are. I thought of Canada as the younger brother of the US. You walked on the moon, you had beaten Russia, you had all the awesome music groups and Hollywood was pumping out amazing movies. I even remember a drawing I did for art class, it was a F16 shooting a missile a the enemy with big letters on the tail saying USAF. Overall, I was like: America, Fuck Yeah!!!
Now I 16 years old, the twin towers fell, I remember, I was at my high school, watching TV before class, the news kept on showing the WTC is flames. It was tragic. From there, the Americans started to freak out. You guys decided to tighten security everywhere. The borders, the airport, shipyards, law enforcement, everything. Then came a war declared for no reason against Irak and another war agaisnt terrorism. That's when shit started to fall apart. I started losing respect for the US, I understood that they had lost a couple thousand souls in NY, but the reaction was horrible. Paranoia. Fear. You were caught off guard. America didn't know how to react. From then, it became: America, Fuck....
Ever since, its been a downhill slope. You lost the respect, you lost the money, you lost the courage, the power. You collapsed. Now I look at you as the older brother, the fuck up of the family. I'm no longer proud... You deceived me. Now I'm heartbroken.
But what this being said, I can still say that America makes the best TV shows. America still has the best pro athletes on earth. America still has the best corporations, the best willpower and the best fucking military the earth has ever seen. Goddamit America, get back up and throw another punch, your arms are long enough to boxe with god.

In response, we sacrificed liberty for a bit of safety. Looks like the terrorists won that one.

To be serious though the US is just another country, corrupt but better off than most in the history of the planet as far as that goes. The power this country has is so overbalanced with the rest of the world it puts Rome to shame, if it falls we're all fucked
Not a huge fan of the US myself, I like our past but our culture was perverted by the media from the 70s forward. Mericans are embarrassed by their culture now

Thanks for the vote of confidnce. (Seriously.)
We're trying to get our shit together. We promise!
We probably need an intervention. Too bad world politics is not an E! reality show with producers, directors, writers, and professional actors. Their business is getting the timing right the first time and acquiring ratings [votes].
Meanwhile, we're about to declare war on Syria . . .

I miss the old America, when you could rob a bank killing 5 innocent people in the process, and everyone would congratulate you for it. What happened!??!

Most kids are liberals these days. Especially those who goes to college and university (which is most). They'll out live both you and me. It appears the liberals will rule the future of most countries in the world. Conservatism always seems to be a phase every 20 years. The midlife crisis of politics (badly needed though).
Military actions: when are you guys gonna get involved with syria or egypt or iran or north korea? NOW is your time to shine. You've got 4 GREAT reasons to use the big green machine and you haven't done it yet. You guys need a reason to justify the military budget, you should jump on one of them. You would look like the good guys again.

Canadians are actually smarter in comparison to Americans.
But you're American, right? You wouldn't know that.
