Em sounds MEAN over the hard guitar and drums on his new track featured on the new Call of Duty soundtrack. I'm patiently waiting for his new album, sometime this fall? I feel like he has something to prove to the fans he let down on a couple CDs. Discuss

I've been off and on about Eminem and the whole "he has something to give back to the fans" mentality. I mean you have to remember the kind of headspace it takes to pump out rhyme after rhyme, and when you've got record execs constantly trying to bleed that dry, on top of family and friends it can be completely draining and I think that he does the best he can and he's trying to be a good dad and staying off the hard shit and the booze. So I look forward to hearing what he comes out with next.

Recovery was awful. I loved the relapse album, unlikely many people I know. I love eminem

I liked relapse also. Liked it better than recover.

That's weird. I like recovery cause its more real and doesn't rap in that Arab voice. Relapse was alright too..Underground and crack a bottle bunch more. Bad Meets Evil is great too IMO. Can't wait to see what's he's come up with in the last 3 yrs. He's beefing with kanye too through subliminal messages.

I still think the Marshall Mathers LP is one of the best rap albums, EVER. When I listen to that album from start to finish, absolute maniacal genius. He captured magic on that album, and even though I thought he put out really good stuff following that album, to me none of it ever was able to quite reach what he had on the MM LP.
Of course people will differ on what they think is his best album but to me that one really blew the rest of them away.

I agree, it's a great album. Drug Ballad is probably one of my favorite rap songs of all time and it's on the MM LP
Recovery sucked balls. I hated that album.

Agreed. I know a lot of people put The Eminem Show in the top spot, but that one's a little more emo and less funny than his first two discs. I'd even put Relapse above Eminem Show any day. Recovery, to me, was his worst major LP but I did really like "Cold Wind Blows" and "No Love". Encore, I think is pretty underrecognized along with Relapse. I thought Encore was pretty funny and I like the nonchalant yet defiant tone.

Oh, shit I just listened to his new track. It's the worst song I've ever heard him do.

He's probably the only spokes person for call of duty who will actually sit down and play it. He was in Black Ops as well.

Mediocre song with absolutely no weight to it. I'm losing the last shreds of respect I could have for him, endorsing COD. Half of COD fans aren't old enough to be playing T games much less M. Is that who he wants as fans? His last record was his worst so far, total letdown, I mean Rihanna really? Dat hypocrisy... I'm glad I don't pay for music these days.
Uh,
I'll just sit here and enjoy his early 2000 records but that's just me
About your last statement, I would say... relapse wasn't as bad as people say, it was different, but at least he stuck with his good ol' psychopath shit. If he stuck with it, he could go out okay. But "recovery" was awful, how'd it go from "fuck a popstar" to having half a dozen songs on the same album with popstars singing longer than he's rapping, and the most mainstream ones no less?
Also, though I hadn't listened to his music in about a year up intil last week, last week I was going through some of the old songs and saw some lyrics that he's completely going against now. I'm searching for them now but he said in one song something along the lines of "once I'm past my prime I'll quit, I won't be like ____ (band that stayed in the game far too long)".

Okay so I'm probably getting way too worked up about this shit but I feel like taking the time to better explain, so...
Okay, to corroborate my point
From this song
'til I collapse I'm spilling these raps long as you feel 'em 'til the day that I drop you'll never say that I'm not killing 'em Cause when I am not, then I'mma stop penning 'em And I am not hip hop and I'm just not Eminem <- Here, he's saying that when his talent wanes, he'll quit the game, put down the microphone Subliminal thoughts, when I'mma stop sending 'em? Women are caught in webs, spin 'em and hock venom Adrenalin shots, the penicillin could not get the illing to stop Amoxicillin's just not real enough The criminal cop-killing hip hop villain A minimal swap to cop millions of Pac listeners You're coming with me, feel it or not you're gonna fear it Like I showed you the spirit of God lives in us You hear it a lot, lyrics to shock Is it a miracle or am I just product of pop fizzing up? For shizzle my wizzle, this is the plot, listen up You bizzles forgot, Slizzle does not give a fuck!
Cause I don't really think that the fact that I'm Slim matters A plaque and platinum status is wack if I'm not the baddest, so <- Here, he's once again saying his fame is nothing if he's not respectable any more. Now, he's still fucking famous, his new album will have a few youtube MV's with 100M'S of views, yet he is nolonger respectable any more.
Well, I warned ya I was gonna get too worked up about this shit.

Sounds corny but thats my fucking theme song. As I was driving back to my parents house with my tail between my legs cutting myself off from my drug addict friend group this song came on shuffle. Been off the dr00gz and my old ways since that day, gonna go til I collapse nigga
I also fucking loved Recovery, I have an odd habit of liking new albums that everyone hates, (Wiz's rolling papers, and Against me's White crosses, and Yellawolfs Radioactive come to mind )
I'm super excited I think em's been going hard since day one and hasn't stopped.

I think on my level is a better song to get loaded to though
His song Fly Solo, was one of those tripping songs that defines your whole trip and gives you a new perspective. I was in the desert on 2ce.... such a magical night. Wiz wouldn't have been an artists I would expect that to happen with
