well after not seeing my plant for 2 days(I was avioding her to see how the ferts worked, still little buds but they grew to twice the size in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANYWAY.........I went to look at her and found the the lowest branch was broken , almost right off!!, so I ripped it off and was thinking about how much one wondering cat can cause and thenI got the idea to clone it
and for the first day she didnt look so good but heres what I did ...............
Well I want to ask you all what you think of this.............
I checked the her today and one of the bottom branches were broken, and not broken totally but enough that it would not repair , so I ripped it off, and thought well I might as well try to root it
this is MY PROBLEM... there are all ready tiny little buds , almost nothing , but buds, on there already,
Now heres what I am trying, I took a peat pot and wetted it down with water,it expanded well at least something is going right, anyway, I put it in a glass with excess water and put in some rooting powder , and let that fat boy soak........then I drained the excess water and dumped a little in that peat pot "hole" and ALSO of course I dipped the end of my emergency cutting , and then placed it in the peat pot, and put the whole works in a fisk tank with a fish tank light and a compact fluorescent
SO, I know that "sea of green" (making the plants flowrer early) , can yeild very well
so if I can root this branch and get it back out in the sun as soon as possible can I make the most of a bad situation????, keep it on 12\12(or as close as someone without a timer can do that )
or since the lights are fluorescents, maybe I should leave them on 24\7 till the plant roots and then , send it out to outside right after it roots
I fear that the rooting process might put my plant back in veg and I will lose some of the all important bud time
and things are going great , she now stands on her own and looks great

You may want to try clipping or slicing the tip off the soon to be rooting end of the broken branch, while submerging it in water. This will prevent an any air getting sucked into the plants 'veins' and will improve her chances of survival.. I'm not entirely sure but the cutting may have to establish itself back to veg before it begins to grow roots.. basically it might take longer. =/ Keep it humid, try not to baby them (it) too much Good luck.

Yeah- back to veg and grow it BIGGER! With such shock I am pretty sure that the buds will stop producing/growing anyway so if you CAN root it, make it big- shit it's already a female you know. Can't beat that with a stick.

u need to veg a clone a minimum of 2 weeks (2 wks for hydro, soil is longer) before trying to flower it. since its already flowering its going to take a bit longer for it to switch back to veg so it starts growing roots and leaves again. might want to look into something called Super Thrive which comes in a tiny bottle at walmart or wherever. very good 'organic' for promoting root growth.

I have had nothing but success with Superthrive. I reccommend it as well.

Would Superthrive be a good thing to add to soil when first seeding to get the seeds to take a strong root?

well I noticed somethjing kinda shitty today
I thought ONE lower branch was broken(the one I am cloning) but 2 other were to!!!!, but not nearly as bad
So, and the buds are still expanding!(on the sitty branches!) SO I am going to wrap their wounds and tie them in place

Yes, Superthrive is a very good thing at that stage of growth.

check out air layering, a way to root those broken branches in place before use as clones.

air layering the faq, not easily done with very turgid branches. Best with vines or new succulent growth.

Superthrive seems cool when I checked out their site. Does anyone know if there are any adverse side-effects when using hormones on plants though? They have impressive testimonials about being in the Guiness Book of World records for saving trees and what not. But if I am gonna be ingesting the products of my cultivation will that be ok?

I'm not saying impossible, but just difficult with certain plants.

well my little clone needs SOMETHING(superthrive I guess)
its got a little mold on it AND the roots havent come out!!
think maybe cutting it again and dipping it in water(a little bottle full) and putting it outside and just saying , fuck it , let it bud will work????
I could mist it to make sure it stays alive !!?
other than that I guess I could get superthrive and got back to the aquarium
